Not a great look…
Morgan Wallen fans quickly sold out his current One Night At a Time stadium tour when tickets went on sale back in December, and fans have been waiting patiently since then to see country music’s biggest superstar.
But folks who had tickets to his show in Oxford, Mississippi tonight left the stadium disappointed when Morgan didn’t even take the stage.
Minutes before he was set to perform, and after the openers had already performed their sets, Morgan announced that his show was cancelled, saying that his “voice was shot” and he was “unable to sing.”
“After last night’s show I started losing my voice so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better.
I really thought I’d be able to take the stage and it kills me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is shot and I am unable to sing.
All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. I am so sorry, I promise you guys I tried everything I could.”

Now obviously fans were more than a little upset, not only that the show was canceled but that it sounds like the vocal issues were something Morgan knew about at least earlier this morning – yet he still waited until they were at the stadium, and just minutes before his show was set to start, before announcing that it was canceled.
Sure, they at least got to see openers Hardy and Ernest perform. But why not just reschedule earlier in the day and save people the trouble of driving to the stadium, paying for parking, etc, just to cancel the main performance?
Understandably, people who made the trip to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium were none too happy:
@morganwallen done with you! Let people sit thru 2 opening acts, buy food, alcohol and merch only to do this when it is time for you to perform! Complete BS! I have supported you thru all of your other controversies…but I am canceling you at this point!!! #donewithmorganwallen pic.twitter.com/i59bYwkZez

Morgan Wallen’s decision to cancel his Oxford show tonight was pretty “Heartless”.

Cool but what about the dog sitter, baby sitter, hotel, PTO, and gas money we took for this? You knew this morning @morganwallen pic.twitter.com/92893rYDY7

@MorganWallen you are one piece of shit. Couldn’t walk out w your team to explain?????
— Tyler Bennett (@TylerB1981g) April 24, 2023
And others speculated that, given his history of partying in college towns, Morgan may not have actually lost his voice at all.
Of course, there isn’t any evidence that he was out on the town last night (which is usually pretty quick to surface when he makes an appearance), but nevertheless, Twitter took that narrative and ran with it.
No one is gonna convince me that he went to Oxford and just happen to lose his voice
He had too much fun after the concert last night and couldn’t recover
— Taylor Caraway (@TaylorCaraway) April 24, 2023
It wasn’t his voice. We have friends in Oxford saying Morgan wallen was seen last night at bars trashed and was at bars today drunk as hell and at the baseball game today as well. Man was too drunk and hungover to perform tonight and just lied to all of his fans.

Morgan Wallen canceled his show…right before going on stage…because he lost his voice?!? Lmao. Naa I think that man was wasteddddd. 😂

You know for a fact you got too fucked up before the show. Own your shit @MorganWallen
— kat (@_kaitlynmiller) April 24, 2023
And then of course there were some people who just had jokes…
Morgan Wallen was just wanting to make sure all @OleMiss students make it to their 8 am classes in the morning instead of them staying up so late. He was being really responsible. Y’all go to bed and make your 8 ams. @OxfordPolice

I know some guy is claiming he spent $10k on the Morgan Wallen concert, but I spent a good week trying to learn MW songs for this concert, and I’m genuinely concerned about how this is going to affect my Spotify Wrapped at the end of the year.

You should be happy you don’t have to listen to Morgan Wallen sing. https://t.co/3LoUYebePb

Morgan Wallen canceling his own show after all his fans get there is so fuckin hilarious

I mean, can’t say that I blame them. If I were in the stadium ready for a concert and it was canceled at the last minute I’d be pissed too.
Morgan Wallen Becomes First Artist In Billboard Country Airplay Chart History To Have Three Songs In The Top 10 At The Same Time
Morgan Wallen just keeps setting records.
After releasing his latest album, One Thing At a Time, Morgan broke the record for the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by a single artist, with all 36 tracks making the chart.
The album also set the record for the largest streaming week in history for any country album, and was the most-streamed country album in a single day by a male country artist in Spotify history.
And now, he’s done something that’s never been done in the history of the Billboard Country Airplay chart: Earn three spots inside the top 10.
For this week’s chart, “Thought You Should Know” holds the #7 spot, “Last Night” is at #8 and “One Thing At a Time” is right below it at #9.
It’s the first time an artist has had three songs in the top 10 of the chart since it launched in January of 1990.
Looks like Morgan’s dominant run isn’t slowing down any tiem
