God, I love Monday Night Football.
Specifically, the ManningCast.
Why anyone is still watching that hack Joe Buck is beyond me. Why would you watch Joe Buck and Troy Aikman when you have Peyton and Eli mixing it up on ESPN 2?
We’ve been in for a bit of a snoozefest tonight as the New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys, but things started to liven up in the 3rd quarter with back to back touchdowns from each side.
The CeeDee Lamb makes a couple great grabs (picking up some much needed points for my fantasy team), and giving the Cowboys a 7 point lead.
Guests tonight included Cowboys legend Jimmy Johnson, the always entertaining Pat McAfee, and actor/comedian and Bronx native, Tracy Morgan.
And Tracy, who is at the game tonight, seems to be… high as a KITE.
It’s equal parts awkward, annoying, and hilarious.
But asking Peyton what it was like to play against Lawrence Taylor is where I might’ve cut the feed if I was Peyton Manning.

Peyton Manning To Try & Save The CMA Awards, Will Co-Host With Luke Bryan
The CMA Awards have already gotten at least one thing right…
Peyton Manning is joining the broadcast.
He’ll take up hosting duties at the 56th Annual CMA Awards alongside co-host Luke Bryan, who hosted the show solo for the first time last year, this fall live from Nashville, Tennessee:
During this past NFL football season, Peyton and his brother Eli Manning had an alternate broadcast called Manningcast that was part of ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage, and they were absolutely captivating providing hilarious commentary on every game.
Considering his previous broadcasting experience, it’s easy to see why Luke is so excited to get to work with his friend Peyton on this show:
“Being a part of such a historical night that honors my peers and Country Music is such a privilege. When I was asked if Peyton Manning was someone I would consider co-hosting with I didn’t hesitate.
We have become great friends through the years and what he brings to the table is gonna make it even more of a blast. I know he’s been to the CMA Awards before, but he’s never been with me.
Hey Peyton, I hope you’re ready for the night of your life!”
Peyton is also a big country music fan, and has spent some time with some of his fellow Volunteers in Morgan Wallen and Kenny Chesney in the past, so it should be a really cool experience for the two-time Super Bowl champ:
“I cannot wait to head to Nashville and take the CMA Awards stage alongside my friend Luke Bryan.
I am such a huge fan of Country Music, so to have the chance to stand among so many incredibly talented artists is an absolute honor.”
And considering their past few years of ratings disasters at the CMA’s, he should be a very welcome new addition to the lineup.
The show is slated for Wednesday, November 10th on ABC, and final nominees and performers will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Throwback to Peyton ripping shots with Eric Church during the show:
