I mean, I don’t think that’s too much to ask…

Megan Moroney has had a heck of a 2026, after scoring her first ever #1 album on the Billboard Top 200 chart with her third studio album, Cloud 9, earlier this year. Of course, she first burst onto the scene four years ago with her song college football-themed song “Tennessee Orange,” and since then, she’s had hits like “6 Months Later.”

And with all of that success comes plenty of curiosity about her dating life, and Megan has been linked to Riley Green, NFL player Nick Bosa, and most recently, soccer star Christian Pulisic.

In a feature with Cosmopolitan Magazine a few months ago, Megan explained that she was going to stay single while on her Cloud 9 tour, but when it ended in October, and it just wrapped up, she would be “on the prowl again” when she had more time to focus on that:

“There is something about having a crush that’s exciting, and when my tour wraps up in October, when I’m back from Europe, I’ll maybe be on the prowl again. Yeah, it’ll be fall. It’ll be cuffing season, but right now, it’s been so nice to have my friends and family out [with me] and that not be an aspect of my life that is any sort of problem for me.

I wrote ‘Hell of a Show’ about being onstage and having my biggest headlining tour yet and it being ruined. I’m crying right before I go onstage. Life is peaceful. I got a dog in February. That’s what I needed all along—no man, a dog.”

And during an interview with Nightline, she revealed some of her dating non-negotiables, and I think they’re pretty reasonable.

Firstly, she wants to be asked out by a guy who isn’t afraid to use his words and straight up ask:

“Using your words, asking me out with words. You would be shocked to find out that’s not common.”

She also wants a guy who can “cut her steaks”:

“A guy that cuts my steaks for me. That’s weird.”

Honestly, I kind of love that…

And when it comes to absolute no-nos, they’re once again pretty reasonable:

“No girl best friend.”

And of course, she won’t tolerate any cheating:

“Let’s not cheat on each other. Let’s not do that.”

I really don’t think her requests are really asking that much, and if Megan can’t even find someone with those basic qualities, I’m afraid some of us might be in trouble….

Megan Moroney Is The Voice Of 2026 SEC Nation Theme Song

This season, SEC Network kicked off its 13th season as a channel, and they tapped a very fitting artist in Megan Moroney to revamp the new theme song and opening sequence for SEC Nation, the network’s weekly, traveling pre-game show.

SEC Nation first debuted the song on August 28th, 2014, with a customized version of Robert Randolph and The Family Band’s “Take The Party” as its opening theme song. Over a decade ago, Randolph worked closely with network producers to develop custom lyrics for “Party Wherever We Go,” which fits the SEC and mentions all of the teams.

Megan put her own spin on it which celebrates the 16 SEC teams, and she says she’s very excited to be singing this year’s SEC Nation theme song, and of course, she’ll be cheering for her Georgia Bulldogs:

“I am so excited to be singing this year’s SEC Nation theme song… as always, Go Dawgs.”

SEC Network viewers will hear the Megan’s version in full during SEC Nation broadcasts, as the three-hour program airs at 9 a.m. ET each week, followed directly after by Marty and McGee.

SEC Nation welcomes new host Matt Barrie leading the desk, and is joined by returning SEC Nation personalities Tim Tebow, Roman Harper and Paul Finebaum as well as newcomers Chase Daniel and Marion Crowder.

Country music and college football go hand-in-hand, artist like Lainey Wilson, Darius Rucker, Luke Combs and more have done theme songs for different networks and shows, so it’s cool to see Megan getting in on it, and obviously, it makes a ton of sense with her Georgia connection (she graduated from UGA in 2020), and of course, her SEC-focused hit, the aforementioned “Tennessee Orange.”
