Sounds like they’re official.
On May 18, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed for divorce from his wife Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, in Williamson County Chancery Court, just outside of Nashville.
And in the wake of the announcement, Bunnie released a tell-all episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast (which has since been removed from her Youtube page), where she revealed a lot of why they decided to split, addressed dating rumors and revealed that Jelly was already dating, and she also explained the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak, that led to the divorce papers being filed, which Jelly did after a huge fight they had on Mother’s Day.
Bunnie has a talked a lot since that episode about how she wants to get back out there dating, and she was been spotted out with Netflix star, 24-year-old Dylan Wolf over the summer, who is on the reality show “Calabasas Confidential.” I think they use the word star pretty loosely, but whatever…
On the Fourth of July, Bunnie and Dylan were hanging out in the VIP section of Jelly Roll’s rooftop bar, and Bunnie dropped a podcast episode where she addressed them being out together, saying she has “never” lied to her fans, and she told them she was going to have a “hot girl summer,” so they shouldn’t be surprised.
Since then, they’ve continued to hang out, it sounds like, and Bunnie just released a full podcast episode talking about how they met and got together.
Dylan said it happened not long after he filmed “Calabasas Confidential,” and Bunnie says she was “going through a very traumatic time” in her life when the show popped up on her TV and she decided to watch it, even though she says she never watches shows like that.
But Dylan caught her eye, and she had initially wanted to get him on her podcast as a guest:
“I was going through a very traumatic time in my life, and I was sitting in my studio house. I was sitting on the couch and I was bawling my eyes out, and this show pops up, and it’s ‘Calabasas Confidential.’ I’m like, I never watch s*** like this, either, ever, never watch s*** like this.
And I was like, I wanna meet this dude. We should get him on the pod or whatever, so then that’s when I went and searched for his socials and ended up following him.”
Dylan says he thought Bunnie was a “smoke show,” so he followed her back:
“I get a follow on Instagram and TikTok from you, and I just was like, yo, what a smoke show. So I follow her back.”
Bunnie added that it was a “super fast” follow back:
“Immediately followed me back, by the way guys. It was super fast.”
Then, Dylan gave the analogy of a Rubik‘s Cube, though that’s not exactly the right one, but I digress…
Dylan didn’t know Bunnie and Jelly were in the midst of a split because the news wasn’t public yet, so he told her he was a big fan of them, even though he admits he couldn’t name a single one of Jelly Roll’s songs:
“It was like solving a Rubik‘s Cube, just, done. It was out of this world. News wasn’t public yet… and I had DM’d you just saying, ‘Hey, I appreciate the follow. I’m a big fan of you guys.’ Keep in mind, gun to head, couldn’t name a song.”
Bunnie then addressed internet rumors that they were talking before she and Jelly split, which is she says is completely untrue:
“This is no shade, we’re literally just telling the truth. Because rumor has in on the internet Dylan and I were talking before the divorce. I never even met him until way after the divorce was filed and all that, just to clear the air.”
Dylan explained that they tried to set the podcast up for a while, and during that time, news broke about Bunnie’s divorce, and he said he knew she was “ready to rock”:
“So I DM’d her, ‘Big fan, love you guys,” blah blah blah. Just, ‘Would love to meet you one day.’ You thanked me and said, ‘Let’s get you on a pod.’ And during the time of getting me on the pod, you guys had also had Suede on the pod.
So we kinda were just in this limbo of being able to make it happen, so then the news breaks. So then it’s out there, she’s on the market, she’s ready to rock.”
Bunnie talked about how, right after the divorce news broke, she did a tell-all podcast (which has since been taken down), where she told the world her DM’s were open and Dylan finally got the message:
“And I do a podcast where I talk about how my DM’s are flooded, and that I’ve only responded to two DM‘s. He swipes up on that post, and he says, ‘Was my DM one of them?’ I was like okay, f***, finally he’s like flirting with me. And I go ‘No, but you could try again.’ And he just hearts it.”
Dylan explained that he didn’t really know what to do with her message:
“I mean, yeah, you know. What the hell kind of response is that? Let’s be real.”
I guess they kept the conversation going at some point, and it seems like they’re in some sort of relationship, and fans in her comments section had a LOT to say about her dating so much younger, and I highly doubt there’s going to be wedding bells ringing for the two of them any time soon… it sounds like they’re just having fun.
