They’re one of Hollywood’s newest power couples.
Movie star Glen Powell and actress Michelle Randolph, who plays Ainsley Norris in the hit Taylor Sheridan series, have been together for a while now.
Late last year, they were spotted dancing at Austin, Texas’ Broke Spoke dance hall, and since then, they have confirmed their relationship and have been spotted out together quite a bit, most recently at a University of Texas football game.
You can see Randolph in slides 8 and 9 of his photo dump on Instagram:
In an interview with Esquire out today, Powell opened up about dating Randolph, telling the mag that he’s happy to be in a relationship, and he really wants to be a good boyfriend. Prior to Randolph, Glen dated model Gigi Paris for several years, though they split right before his movie “Anyone but You” co-starring Sydney Sweeney came out.
During all of the press for that movie, he and Sweeney definitely, and purposefully, had fans thinking they were in a relationship, and Pwell admits that it’s not something he’ll ever do again, even for the sake a promoting a movie:
“I’ve moved on to a new chapter of my life.”
His career really took off from that point on, and though Powell knew he wanted to eventually settle down, he worried that might not be in the cards fro him due to everything going on in his professional life:
“I was starting to get nihilistic. It was hard.”
Powell’s dad, whom he’s named after, is an executive life coach, and he sought his dad’s advice on how to navigate a solid and healthy relationship, and Powell learned that it had less to do with what he was doing wrong, and was more about just finding the right person.
Once he finally did, it made it a lot easier to show up the way he wanted to:
“It’s the person. You can really diagnose yourself with an inability to show up for somebody when, in reality, you just need to find a person who it’s both of you making room for each other.”
Of course, they’re both successful actors so they can relate in that way with two pretty crazy jobs, and Powell says they share the “same values” in terms of how much they love and care about their families:
“Life is fast for both of us, and we have the same values. She loves her family. I love my family. And we both care about work a lot. We both like to show up for our partners. And yet we also understand the balance of it all.”
It’s no secret that having a long-term relationship in Hollywood is not the norm, and considering these two are both big stars, with hectic schedules and prying eyes, they’ve still managed to make it work.
Powell says none of that really matters at the end of the day, and they’re always rooting for each other and want to see the other person success. She’s good for him as a human, not just Glen Powell the actor, and it sounds like that’s really the secret:
“There’s something so lovely about someone rooting for you. Someone who wants you to win in all the ways that are good for you as a human. Not just professionally but in all the ways that are good for your soul.”
They spent much of the summer in Paris, and while they’re both in the midst of filming different TV and movies, they seem to have found some sort of balance and have found some sort of normalcy in a very not-normal world.
And one of the projects Powell is working on is a country music comedy film called “The Comeback King,” which is being directed by Judd Apatow. Set for release in theaters on February 5th, 2027 Lukas Nelson and Ernest are helping write all of the songs, and other artists like Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Hardy and more are set to make cameos. We already know they filmed a big scene during CMA Fest this past summer, and I can’t wait to finally get to see a trailer and get an idea of what the movie is going to be like.
