This Saturday, Lainey Wilson will join an all-star lineup that includes Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Victoria Monét, YEONJUN, YOSHIKI, and Alicia Keys for Global Citizen Festival, a music festival in Central Park dedicated to ending extreme poverty.
Global Citizen Festival kicks off on Saturday, September 26 on Central Park’s Great Lawn, with profits supporting Global Citizen’s mission to help put an end to poverty worldwide. Since being established in 2008, Global Citizen has been able to deploy more than $50 billion in commitments and impacted more than 1.3 billion lives around the world. This year’s festival is focused on three critical issues, with a campaign calling for action to create opportunities for 2 million children to go to school, support 1.5 million smallholder farmers, and provide electricity to 2.5 million homes.
The festival kicks off at 4 PM, and if you’re not able to make it to Central Park, will be livestreamed around the world on the Amazon Music app, Amazon Music channels on Fire TV and Twitch, Prime Video, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, TikTok LIVE Premiere, Veeps and YouTube, as well as the Global Citizen app and website. If you’re in New York or want to make a trip for the festival, tickets are still available on Ticketmaster. The festival has partnered with PayPal to offer discounted General Admission tickets to Global Citizen Festival through Ticketmaster, and for the first time, the first 2,000 General Admission ticket purchasers using PayPal will receive FastPass access. Lainey Wilson Opens Up On Life As A Newlywed
Sounds like they’re still in newlywed bliss.
Lainey and her husband Devlin “Duck” Hodges officially tied the knot with a gorgeous wedding in Tennessee on Mother’s Day earlier this year, and it looked like a beautiful affair:
They met through mutual friends, and Lainey often talks about how supportive Duck is with her career, and they seem like a great match that have already gone through a lot of change together during the course of their relationship with Lainey’s stardom exploding.
Lainey and Duck’s special day took place at The Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee on May 10th, and they shared all of the details with Vogue. Lainey says they selected the venue because of the “simplicity” of the property. They worked with Hugh Howser and Kate Steele with H Three Events to plan everything, and of course, Lainey had to bring in some of that Cajun flair, so they had a 12-piece jazz band and Cajun meal prepared by the chefs at her Nashville bar, Bell Bottoms Up”:
“We wanted it to be special and beautiful, but really welcoming and comfortable for our guests. We tried not to take ourselves too seriously. Being from Louisiana, I wanted to bring in a little bit of Cajun flair, so naturally we hired a 12-piece jazz band called Rebirth and had a Cajun meal from the chefs at my bar, Bell Bottoms Up.”
Of the ceremony, Lainey says it was a beautiful spring day, and she came in on a white horse-drawn carriage, of course walking down the aisle with her dad. They were married by friend Wes Williams, and Lainey and Duck also took communion together during the ceremony.
It sounds (and looks) like a fairy tale, and Lainey of course made an absolutely stunning bride, all of the photos are just gorgeous, and it looks like it was a really beautiful day filled with love.
Lainey also traded out her iconic bell bottoms for a stunning white dress, which was designed by the Oscar de la Renta team, along with help from her stylist, Alexandra Mandelkorn. It features gorgeous Japanese cherry blossoms around the neckline and throughout the dress, which represents living in the moment, Lainey says. It’s not often we see her in a dress, I’m not sure we ever have, honestly, and it was just breathtaking:
They honeymooned in Sedona for a few days and were finishing it up in Las Vegas, and during an interview with Extra TV ahead of the ACM Awards last year, Lainey said the most special part of the day was when they actually got to see each other for the first time.
She also explained that it was a big party, and they were hyping themselves up after saying it was so fun that they were sure their guests would remember it forever:
“Oh my gosh, I mean, probably the first time that we actually got to see each other. That was really special. But just having our family and friends there, and it was a party. When we left the wedding, we were in the back of the truck thinking, like, people are going to be talking about this wedding forever. We had that much fun, we were hyping ourselves up.”
I have no doubt it was quite an event, and from all of the photos I’ve seen it was really something else.
It’s been about five months since they said “I do,” and during an interview with Entertainment Tonight before her set at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Lainey opened up about what newlywed life has been like so far.
She joked that she hasn’t “gotten rid of him yet,” and added that it’s been “absolutely incredible” so far and said Duck is the best thing that’s ever happened to her:
“I hadn’t gotten rid of him yet. That probably surprises him. No, I’m playing. It’s been absolutely incredible. It just feels good. It feels like we’re just like turning the page into this beautiful chapter.
I mean he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I’m telling you. He’s a good man.”
Lainey and Duck come across as such a normal, down-to-earth couple, and hopefully they have decades of a beautiful life together ahead of them.
