Zach Bryan Announces New EP ‘Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs’

He’s back.

Zach Bryan has been pretty quiet on social media lately (his social media accounts are inactive), which most fans know is probably a good thing because he can get a little unhinged on there a lot of the time, but I digress…

This evening, he shared a teaser of an unreleased song called “Lodi When,” which features a ton of harmonica and finds him reminiscing on some of his formative memories and a time in his life when he was in love with a girl in Lodi (which according to Google is a city in Northern California):

“If you could write a book on,
The man that you once were,
Would you write about drinking,
Or would you write about her,
If you could just go back to the places you once been,
Would you run back to her arms,
Or back to Lodi when,

He made a big mess of all the songs he wrote,
He’d sing to you come daylight, but die before he woke,
If you could write a book on the man that you once were,
Would you write about drinking,
Or would you write about her,
If you could just go back to the places you once been,
Would you go back to her arms, back to Lodi when”

Zach’s been busy in 2026 in terms of playing a lot of shows both in the states and overseas in Europe, and he announced that he started his sobriety journey late in 2025, in addition to getting married to Samantha Leonard on New Year’s Eve this past year. Just two weeks later, he’d drop his long-awaited sixth studio album, With Heaven On Top, along with a full-length acoustic version of the record. With Heaven On Top would debut #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200, selling 130,00 units in its first week and charting 18/25 songs on the Billboard Hot 100.

And since then, he hasn’t put out any new music, and I don’t think fans necessarily expected him to considering he released the aforementioned album in January, but it sounds like “Lodi When” is part of a bigger project.

Zach posted the teaser video on YouTube, and the comments section, he revealed that he has a new EP on the way with an incredibly interesting, for lack of a better word, name called Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs, which will feature “Lodi When” in addition to a number of other songs yet-to-be-revealed:

“A snippet of ‘Lodi When’ off the new EP, ‘Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs’.”

Sounds like there’s more where that came from…

Zach also teased another new song recently called “Breakfast in Bed,” which I have to imagine is also on this EP, and if he’s already teasing the songs that will be on it, I doubt we’ll have to wait much longer to hear it. Usually when Zach starts teasing stuff like this, it means he music is coming very soon, especially with an EP since it’s a lot smaller undertaking than a traditional, full-length album.

I just need the story on the EP title, though… it’s really something.
