Eatin’ BIG time.

After a solid decade of being overlooked, underrated and one of Appalachia’s hidden gems, Tyler Childers has cemented himself as a bona fide star in country music. Though you’ll never see him step on stage at the CMA and ACM Awards, he’s garnered one of the most eclectic, diehard fanbases in the genre right now, and it just keeps growing.

2025, in particular, was the Kentucky native’s most successful year to date. Though Snipe Hunter didn’t come without its controversy, it once again proved why he’s one of the best in the business and pushed his sound in a new directions. It ended up paying dividends for him as well. Upon its release, Snipe Hunt debuted at #7 on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart, along with a #1 entry on their Americana/Folk Albums chart and a #2 entry on their Top Country Albums list.

Additionally, he’d score not one but three Grammy nominations for Best Contemporary Country Album, Best Country Song (“Bitin’ List”) and Best Country Solo Performance (“Nose On The Grindstone”) for the record, taking home his first career Gramophone with “Bitin’ List.”

Riding the highs of 2025, Childers is plotting his biggest run of shows to date on the Snipe Hunt Tour, which kicked off last night in Dallas at Dos Equis Pavilion. With so much hype surrounding Snipe Hunter, Grammy nomination and all, it became more than apparent that the “Lady May” singer had a tough task curating his setlist for the tour.

Well, the setlist is in, and if you’re a fan of his last album, you’re definitely in luck.

Unsurprisingly, Childers is leaning heavily into the success of Snipe Hunter here on the tour, playing eight of the 13 tracks present on the album. Of course, he’s opening the set with the high-energy album opener, “Eatin’ Big Time.” Additionally, other fan-favorites from Snipe Hunter such as “Bitin’ List,” “Oneida,” “Down Under” and the infectiously groovy, “Dirty Ought Trill” are all included throughout the 21-song set.

Obviously, he’s still leaning on multi-platinum, career staples such as “Housefire,” “All Your’n,” “Lady May and “Housefire,” as well as fan-favorites like “Way of the Triune God,” “Universal Sound” and the still-unreleased classic, “Jersey Giant.”

One major track that is surprisingly absent from the setlist is none other than the Grammy-nominated “In Your Love.” Other surprising songs missing include the likes of long-time staples, “Nose On The Grindstone,” “Follow You To Virgie” and “Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?” Additionally, no early tracks featured on Bottles & Bibles made the cut night one.

As for surprises, the Kentucky native decided to pull out a cover of The Seeger Family’s 1957 folk classic, “The Wedding Dress Song,” being the only cover on the setlist other than “The Old Country Church” (which appeared on 2022’s Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?).

Obviously, Childers will be mixing it up quite a bit throughout the tour, but for now, this will be the template for a majority of the shows throughout the summer. You can view the full setlist from night one below.
