Shocker… The View’s Joy Behar Has Absolutely No Clue What Jesus Said About Himself, Immediately Gets Corrected By Co-Hosts

Joy Behar The View

Probably would have been best for The View to sit this one out… or you know… just sit them all out and close up shop.

As you very well know, nothing can happen in the world without the “world class” commentary of The View stepping in and giving their thoughts on things. The show, which first aired in 1997, has covered pop culture news and other noteworthy items for almost three decades. Almost hard to believe it’s gone on that long, am I right?

The members of The View’s panel (which I used to recognize but now have no idea who they are) consist of Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro. I don’t feel like I have to clarify this, but just in case it’s not common knowledge at this point, all of the co-hosts hate Donald Trump and lean super liberal. It’s also pretty common knowledge that most of panels have no idea what they’re talking about and are forced to issue retractions and corrections fairly regularly.

When President Trump posted an AI-generated image online that definitely seemed to depict himself as Jesus, The View was ready to pounce.

To be clear, a lot of people from both sides of the aisle have condemned Trump for posting the image that showed him – as Jesus – healing someone lying on a hospital bed. It was undoubtable blasphemy, and the POTUS has since taken down the post (he doesn’t do that a lot). He claims that he thought it was portraying him as a doctor, or someone working for the Red Cross… but I think everyone knows that wasn’t the case.

When The View got around to talking about it, they brought up the idea of false prophets, which are explicitly warned against in The Bible. And not that Donald Trump is claiming to be a prophet of any kind, but I’ll give them some credit… they were doing an okay job talking about how this will probably alienate some of the base. That is, until they ran into a speed bump when Joy Behar surprisingly claimed that Jesus didn’t go around claiming that he was the Messiah:

“Jesus himself did not run around saying, ‘I’m the Messiah, I’m the Messiah.'”

Uhhh… yeah, he kind of did.

Behar’s co-hosts quickly informed the longtime host of The View that Jesus did, in fact, tell people that he was the Messiah while he was on Earth. Sara Haines even used Behar’s words against her, emphatically saying that Jesus definitely told others that he was the Son of God:

“That’s exactly what Jesus said! ‘I am the Messiah.'”

Behar, who doesn’t enjoy being corrected, didn’t budge. She insisted that Jesus would have never done such a thing, and that to do so would have been narcissistic:

“No he did not. Jesus was not narcissistic like this guy.”

Let’s reference The Bible instead of Joy Behar, shall we?

There are multiple times in the New Testament where Jesus tells others that he’s the Messiah, or the Son of God. Here are three examples for you right off the bat:

Mark 14:61-62

“Again the high priest questioned Him, ‘Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?’ ‘I am,’ said Jesus.”

John 4:25-26

“The woman said, ‘I know that Messiah is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.’ Jesus answered, ‘I who speak to you am He.'”

Matthew 16:16-17

“Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven.'”

I’m glad that other members of The View‘s panel were able to quickly correct Behar… but just another example of how the daytime talk show isn’t exactly pushing the best information, or presenting the most knowledgeable hosts.
