Every Country Song Featured In The New Yellowstone Spinoff Series, ‘Marshals’

It’s no secret that the Taylor Sheridan universe is a smashing success.

Of course, the flagship series, Yellowstone, has launched its own world of spinoffs and prequels, but even shows like Tulsa King, Mayor Of Kingstown (the first the script Taylor Sheridan ever wrote by the way), and Landman have become certified hits. His most recent release, The Madison, is a bit of a changeup for Sheridan… less violence, more gut-wrenching human emotion…. but it was just announced that it has already been renewed for a 3rd season, before the second season has even aired. Starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, it’s definitely geared towards more of a female audience, but some are calling it their favorite Sheridan show yet.

However, the new CBS procedural spinoff, Marshals, hasn’t quite got the same positive reaction. And to be fair, it’s not a Taylor Sheridan series. It’s not written by him, directed by him, or even produced by him, although he is an executive producer on the show. It was written by Spencer Hudnut, who’s done shows like SEAL Team and The Blacklist: Redemption. But overall, it’s a made for network television procedural that is just wildly different from the Taylor Sheridan method. It’s already been renewed for a second season, but it seems to get a lot of hate from the diehard Yellowstone fans. Which again, I get it…

But with Riley Green set to make his television debut on the series this coming Sunday, along with debuting a new song titled, “My Way,” it got me thinking about the rest of the soundtrack. And while it’s not on par with Yellowstone or Landman, which has proven to have real, lasting discovery power for non mainstream music acts (Whiskey Myers, Shane Smith and the Saints, and more), there has been some great country and roots music featured on the show. And we’re largely not talking about the kind of artists that you hear regularly on country radio. We’re talking Charley Crockett, Channing Wilson, Tanner Usrey, The Deslondes and more.

So without further ado…. here’s every country and/or roots song featured on CBS’ new Yellowstone spinoff series, Marshals:

“Glass Half Empty” – Midland

“Set Free” – Noah James

“Complete 360” – Kix Brooks

“Haunted” – Luke Grimes

“Next To You” – Ashley Cooke

“Do It To Myself” – Tanner Usrey

“Running Down A Song” – Channing Wilson

“Less Honkin’ More Tonkin’ – The Deslondes and Riley Downing

“All Around Cowboy” – Charley Crockett

“Working On A Mystery” – Brandon Santini

“Good Company” – Rip Masters

“Wild & Free” – Dunsun

“Gettin’ Outta My Mind (Acoustic Version)” – Channing Wilson

“His To Mine” – Adam Sanders

CBS also put together a playlist so you can check it all out in one place:
