In the single-digit countdown until we get Dandelion.
Ella Langley is giving fans yet another preview of what’s in store for the next week as the anticipation continues to grow surrounding the release of her sophomore record, Dandelion, out everywhere on April 10.
Langley has been on a hot streak since her debut record, Hungover, which quickly shot to the top of the female country charts. She’s become a household name with the success of her duet with Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me,” and then became a massive star across all genres with her single “Choosin’ Texas.”
She recently broke the record for longest-running #1 hit on Hot 100 by a female country singer after the song spent its fourth non-concurrent week in first place on that chart, surpassing Taylor Swift, who spent three weeks at #1 back in 2012 for her pop hit, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
Of course, Ella wrote the song with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick, and Joybeth Taylor, and it’s become an absolute juggernaut and a historically huge mainstream crossover hit.
Langley also just released a star-studded music video for the hit song featuring Luke Grimes, Miranda Lambert, Texas country singers, rodeo stars & more. It’s a true cinematic event.
After sharing “Choosin’ Texas” as the official lead single for Dandelion, she’s gifted fans with a few more singles off the record, including the title track, “Be Her,” and the introspective, most recent release “Loving Life Again.”
And while fans are beyond thrilled to have this many singles leading up to the record’s release, that has not stopped Langley from sharing some unreleased gems on the tracklist. During SXSW, she debuted a song titled “Something Simple,” which highlights the feeling of making it big and having all her dreams come true in her music career, but deep down, Langley still longs for a slow, simple life like the one she grew up in Alabama. Can take the girl out of the country but not the country out of the girl, am I right?
More recently, Langley performed a Nashville pop-up show for the forthcoming record and shared with attendees another new one titled “Bottom Of Your Boots.” Similar to all her other releases, Langley wears her heart on her sleeve with this tune, sharing that she’s falling in love with a man but warning him that if he’s not ready to jump all in, he needs to move on. The tune shares that he needs to be ready to love her “from the bottom of the boot to the top of the hat.”

While this is a more stripped-back, acoustic version of the song, I’m already obsessed and want to hear the studio cut immediately. Ella Langley has been delivering heater after heater, sharing honest feelings of what she wants out of life in a way that many of her fans can easily relate to.
I fear Dandelion will be on repeat all summer long once it drops on April 10.
