Interested in living out your very own Dutton family-esque dreams?
Well you are in luck! There’s not just a home that’s for sale in Darby, Montana… there’s an entire ranch. So if you’ve ever had dreams of riding around on horseback, wearing a cowboy hat, and intensely gazing at people that get close to your land (A.K.A. The John Dutton Life), you might not be able to afford passing this up.
That being said, this ranch – named the Two Feathers Ranch – that sits in Bitterroot Valley costs a pretty penny. The 350-acre piece of property that was actually featured in Yellowstone (as well as other spinoffs like 1923) is listed at $16.3 million. That’s obviously a whole lot of moolah… but can you really put a price on your ranch-owning era?
A ranch and farmland brokerage called Hall and Hall is selling the exquisite, breath-taking property. And broker Deke Tidwell told Robb Report that the Yellowstone effect is still alive and well in the area:
“It’s still ‘a thing.’ You can drive by the Dutton Ranch right now, and there will be tourists taking pictures. That said, he’s quick to note that buyers aren’t showing up just because of a TV credit.
Instead, the show has done something subtler—and arguably more powerful. It provides a familiarity with the scenery and location… They’ve been looking at it for years on the screen, so it adds credibility to the locale.”
So not only does the Two Feathers Ranch offer up beautiful acreage… it also provides familiarity.
Though the property boasts breath-taking views of Bitterroot mountain range, the “main event” is a 7,180-square-foot house that sits right in the middle of the ranch. The main residence is designed with scenic views in mind, and prioritizes entertaining and retreat.
Then there’s even a guest house, and a manager’s quarters which is located above a working barn fit with equestrian facilities. And it doesn’t stop there. There’s a riding arena, cattle infrastructure, and a two-acre pond that helps to fill out the massive, functional ranch.
It’s a great spot for the outdoorsman (or outdoorswoman) too. Wildlife runs amuck at Two Feathers , and there’s plenty of trout in the Tin Cup Creek, which runs through the property. It’s literally a dream come true type of place for Taylor Sheridan fans. Think of any show of his that you’ve seen, and the Two Feathers Ranch is a slice right out of it (quite literally for Yellowstone).
The only thing stopping you from purchasing this heavenly Montana estate is… the financial burden. Considering all that it offers up, $16.3 million isn’t that bad of a deal. Sure, that might sound like a silly thing to say, but just wait until you see snapshots of the ranch. The “picture is worth a thousand words” saying rings true, and you could also say these pics are worth millions… of dollars.
Here are some photos of the property that are provided by Hall and Hall. Safe to say you could really get lost in living out your Dutton family fantasy at this sprawling Montona ranch:
