Brianna Chickenfry’s hatred for ex-boyfriend, Zach Bryan, has been well-documented, and she’s proven time and time again that she’s not ready to let it go quite yet. We all know about Zach Bryan’s very public breakup with Barstool Sports personality Brianna Chickenfry, as the two of them split in the fall of 2024 and it made tons of headlines when Brianna aired it all out on her BFFs podcast with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.
They’ve traded plenty of jabs since then, with most of it coming from Brianna, but fans think Zach’s song “Skin,” from his new album With Heaven On Top, is about her. And just under two months ago, Bryan married his girlfriend Samantha Leonard in Spain, which came as a surprise to many fans considering they hadn’t been dating, or at least publicly dating, for all that long.
If you scroll through those photos, you’ll notice that Samantha bears a striking resemblance to Brianna, something many, even Brianna herself, have all pointed out because it really is wild. They could be twins… and during an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast this week, Brianna was asked about her thoughts on how crazy it is that they look so much alike. Podcast co-host Mike Majlak pointed out that some men just really have a type, and Brianna noted that Zach’s ex-wife and ex-girlfriends have looked nothing like her, which I guess is kind of subjective but I tend to agree with her… at the very least they don’t look THAT much like her, not nearly as much as Samantha does.
Even if you are a Zach Bryan diehard fan, I feel like there’s not getting around how weird it is, and while I’m not a Brianna fangirl by any stretch of the imagination (I only know who she is because of her relationship with Zach), I definitely have changed my opinion on him based on some of the things she’s said. I certainly don’t think she’s perfect by any means, and there are two sides to every story, of course, but I tend to believe a lot of what she has said is true, even if I’m tired of hearing about it at this point too.
I still listen to his music every once in a while, but I obviously don’t think he’s the world’s best boyfriend, so that’s kind of where I’m at…
Brianna has come to the conclusion, though, that the whole wedding with Samantha was “a dig at me,” and she thinks that’s “apparent and obvious” because she believes Zach is a total narcissist:
“But no one before me ever looked like me. Let’s just be real… I don’t know if you guys know anything about narcissists, but this is what they do. His whole entire literal wedding… all of that was a dig at me. It’s so apparent and obvious.”
Almost laughing at her, Mike then questioned if she really thought he got married to get back at her in some way:
“You think he got married as a dig at you?”
She just made a face that very much looked like that was exactly what she’s saying, but then walked it back a little, saying she doesn’t necessarily think he got married for that reason, but she thinks he definitely started dating her to “get at me”:
“Like, you don’t know the guy, and that’s what’s gonna get clipped… but I’m not saying married, but dating her was to get at me.”
It could also be considered extremely narcissistic to think everything someone does it about you, and honestly I think we would have to have a licensed psychologist with many years of experience to sit down and flesh this out to ever figure out what might really be still going with them and how their relationship went. Who knows… maybe it did start out that way, maybe it didn’t, but Zach does seems pretty happy right now so who is to say. All I can really say is that I think it’s time for Brianna to let it go and move on… it can’t be healthy to spend years doing podcasts where all you talk about is your ex, no matter who he was or how he acted. Most of us have bad exes, we all have bad dating experiences… constantly dwelling on it isn’t doing yourself any favors.
I will say however… I’ll never get over how much they look alike:
