“Embarrassment Has Reached New Heights”: Swifties Sound Off On Travis Kelce’s Ex-Girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, Taking A Jab At Him In Super Bowl Commercial

Travis Kelce didn’t even play in the Super Bowl and the Swifties still found a way to be triggered by the “Big Game.”

If you tuned into Super Bowl LX last night, which pitted the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots, then you are well aware that it was a bit of a snooze fest. There weren’t many exciting, game-changing plays (unless you count massive, 40-yard field goals), and the Seahawks pretty much controlled the game from the jump on their way to a Lombardi Trophy. Simply put, the Super Bowl lacked firepower… but there were still plenty of sparks last night thanks to Taylor Swift’s fanbase.

It all stems from an advertisement that was rolled out during the Super Bowl, yet didn’t air on television (probably saved some big bucks going with this method). NBA player Ben Simmons and comedic actress Tiffany Haddish teamed up for an “Ex-Communicators” commercial for Sleeper, a fantasy sports platform. In the parody law firm ad, they described themselves as “emotional injury specialists,” and brought in famous ex’s from the celebrity world.

Love Island USA star Ace Green was featured, as was rapper Offset (the estranged husband of Cardi B), among others. But the big ex that Sleeper got was Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole. In case you don’t know, Nicole and Kelce have been broken up now for over four years, and dated off-and-on from 2017 to 2022.

With Kelce now happily engaged to be married to pop superstar Taylor Swift, many Swifties believe that Kayla Nicole should move on. Instead, she decided to take part in this Super Bowl ad, and this was her big line in the commercial:

“Simmons and Haddish promised me that they could put an end to this whole ‘ex-girlfriend’ fiasco quickly… rapidly… pronto.”

Ben Simmons then responds with the joke that has the entirety of Taylor Swift’s fan base up in arms:

“That’s not what I said. I said swiftly.”

Ahh… the ol’ Taylor Swift pun. Wonder how long it took them to come up with that one?

Let’s just say the joke, and the general appearance of Kayla Nicole in the advertisement, didn’t go over well amongst the Swifties. They took to social media to condemn the commercial and Nicole for continuing to hold on to her past relationship:

Well… if Sleeper set out to get people riled up and talking, it worked.
