What an absolutely insane headline to have to write.
We’re living in wild times, so nothing should really surprise me these days. But I have to say, even I wasn’t expecting the President of the United States to post a video of himself dropping a load of poop from a fighter jet onto protesters over the weekend.
This past weekend was the second installment of the “No Kings” protests, a nationwide (and totally organic and not funded by massive liberal interest groups) movement of demonstrations against President Donald Trump.
Honestly, I couldn’t even tell you what they’re trying to accomplish, although it appears they were successful because we do not, in fact, have a king. So mission accomplished I guess? Everybody can go home now? Who knows.
Anyway, that’s not the real story here. The real story was the video posted by President Trump over the weekend.
On his official social media accounts, Trump posted an AI-generated video of himself flying a fighter jet over the protests, and dropping a load of poop onto prominent Democrat activist Harry Sisson.
I mean, just take a look.
If you’re not familiar with Sisson, he’s a 23-year old social media influencer who always does his best to carry water for the Democrat party. Not long ago he was breathlessly praising President Joe Biden for his cognitive abilities and stamina, so he’s clearly got his finger on the pulse of today’s political issues.
Anyway, after the president posted the video, Sisson took to social media to respond to the trolling from the president:
And Vice President JD Vance even got in on the trolling, promising to follow up with the president about the video:
But apparently Sisson wasn’t the only person who took issue with the video.
Kenny Loggins, whose song “Danger Zone” from the Top Gun soundtrack was featured in the AI video, issued a statement on his official website blasting the president’s use of his song:
“This is an unauthorized use of my performance of ‘Danger Zone.’ Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately.
I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us. Too many people are trying to tear us apart, and we need to find new ways to come together. We’re all Americans, and we’re all patriotic. There is no ‘us and them’ – that’s not who we are, nor is it what we should be. It’s all of us. We’re in this together, and it is my hope that we can embrace music as a way of celebrating and uniting each and every one of us.”
Now, I don’t have to tell you how hilarious it is that we’re at a point in history where Kenny Loggins is issuing a statement on the President of the United States using his song in an AI-video that shows Donald Trump dropping poop on protestors.
What a time to be alive.
