Earlier this summer, Ella Langley nearly broke the internet with her cover of Toby Keith’s “Wish I Didn’t Know Now” as a part of an Apple Music ‘Toby Keith Covered Session” honoring the Big Dog Daddy.
At the time of the session’s release, Langley shared how honored she was to sing the 1993 hit that appeared on Keith’s self-titled record.
“It’s such a massive honor to be a part of this tribute to @tobykeith with @applemusic. I knew instantly that ‘Wish I Didn’t Know Now’ was the song I wanted to do. The sesssion also included songs like Riley Green performing Toby Keith’s debut single “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”; Parker McCollum on “Who’s That Man”; Megan Moroney singing “Who’s Your Daddy?”; Tucker Wetmore performing “As Good As I Once Was”; and the talented Ashley McBryde singing “A Little Less Talk and A Lot More Action.”
After the covers were released, Ella Langley’s take on “Wish I Didn’t Know Now” quickly became a fan favorite, leaving some country fans with a pressing decision to switch over to Apple Music so they could hear the exclusive song in full. But for the brave souls who chose to stay with Spotify or other streaming services, your time of listening to her viral chorus clip on loop has come to an end.
Today, Langley surprised fans and shared the cover on all streaming platforms.

Langley’s somber delivery of the heartbreak ballad is remarkably smooth, and hearing this legendary tune from a woman’s perspective adds considerable depth to the lyrics Toby Keith penned 32 years ago.
