Fans are worried about podcaster and comedian Theo Von.
He’s on the biggest names in all of comedy and entertainment, and the 45-year-old has really connected with younger audiences thanks to his unorthodox interview style. Von also has a wide variety of guests on his popular podcast, This Past Weekend with Theo Von. Recently, guests have included The Rizzler (look him up) and a “young Amish male.”
And you likely remember that Von had President Trump on his show ahead of the 2024 election.
From the outside looking in, it would seem as though Theo Von has a pretty cool life. But like with all celebrities, what the public sees might not always tell all. And fans of Theo’s are expressing concern for the comedian after he reportedly struggled to get through a comedy show that he was recording at the Beacon Theater in New York over the weekend.
All we know right now is that Theo was there at the historic venue to film a Netflix comedy special, and that his performance apparently didn’t go as planned. Those that were in attendance have said on the internet that Von failed to get through a lot of his jokes, walked off stage multiple times for help with punchlines, and even repeated some of his bits to try and get it “just right” for the cameras that were filming.
People were apparently walking out during the show as well… so all signs point toward Theo Von’s night at the Beacon Theatre being a disastrous one. Some suspected that Theo, who tries to maintain a sober lifestyle, was possibly drunk or under the influence of some other kind of drug. Theo
While some people online haven’t been so nice to Theo Von (imagine that, right?), others have really shown compassion for the comedian and podcaster after the Beacon Theatre incident. Fans of his have pointed out that he’s admitted to struggling with certain aspects of his life in recent interviews, and in the most concerning proof that Theo might not be okay, he was caught on video saying this to fans presumably after his Beacon Theatre show:
You obviously hate to hear that, and while he is a comedian and we don’t know the context… it’s certainly scary. Here’s to hoping that Theo Von might use and see this moment as a sign to get some help if he needs it.
As previously stated, a lot of people are worried about Theo. Though social media can be a horrible place, many have taken to X/Twitter to voice their support for the entertainer:
I know you don’t know me @TheoVon, but I’m praying for you.
No matter what happened at your set last night please always remember that God loves you, your friends and family love you, and your fans love you.

We love you Theo. Cancel shows, recordings, whatever you gotta do to get right & step away for a minute if you need to, man. You are meant to be here

Yo @TheoVon – you’re a good dude. Don’t take it so serious man. We love you bro.
You can always reshoot with Netflix and burn the footage. Nobody dies because of a bad show and all comedians have them.
Good luck out there.— Joshua Hartley (@JHartley2) September 28, 2025
Praying the right people are able to surround @TheoVon with love and support. Brother you’ve overcome so much and are an inspiration to many. Don’t let those evil voices win. Turn to God. 🙏🏼

Theo also hosted Pete Davidson on a recent podcast episode, and the two got to talking a lot about substance abuse and battling inner demons, and when Pete asked if he was sober, Theo confessed that this has been an extremely hard year for his sobriety:
“This year’s been a little… I’ve had a couple tough moments. This year has been the toughest I’ve had in a while.”
Prayers up for Theo… as many have stated, he seems like a genuinely kind dude, and a hilarious comedian/personality that spreads laughter and makes the world a better place. We all could use some more laughs right about now.
