The hype surrounding Bill Belichick’s college football debut came quickly crashing down during last night’s season opener at the University of North Carolina against Texas Christian University.
All eyes were on Bill Belichick last night as the NFL icon with six Super Bowl titles as a head coach (two more as a DC) was expected to usher in a new era of Tar Heels football. The University of North Carolina, which is primarily known for its famed basketball program, has had some notable players come out of their football program as well. Players like Jeff Saturday, Julius Peppers, and Lawrence Taylor to name a few.
However, leading up to the start of the season, the public’s eye was on his relationship with his much younger girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The two have been in the headlines nonstop with her infiltration of herself into every aspect of his life, including professionally. Fans were worried that the fate of UNC’s season would fall into the hands of Hudson, given that she was involved in so many decisions pre-season.
And long story short, Belichick and the Tar Heels got absolutely boat raced by TCU. According to Sportradar, the Tar Heels gave up more points than in any previous opener in their history during last night’s game.
“We played competitively, but then just couldn’t sustain it. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do. We need to do a better job all the way around — coaching, playing, all three phases of the game.”
Belichick said in a post-game interview last night.
“It was a great environment tonight. I mean, the fans were awesome. There was great energy in the stadium. We just didn’t do enough to keep it going. We’ve got to play better for the energy to be sustainable.”
Bill Belichick undoubtedly has a big hill to climb to prove that he’s the right man for the job heading the UNC team, and last night’s loss was not the outcome he had hoped for. While a 34-point loss is hard for anyone to swallow, it makes it even harder to come to terms with that a**kicking when football fans find a way to make it personal.
After the game, it did not take long for football fans to find a way to roast Belichick’s relationship with the score. One fan in particular went viral for comparing the 34-point score difference to the difference in age between Belichick and Jordon Hudson.
Gross… but what’s even more disturbing? This tweet isn’t even accurate, as Bill Belichick was really 56 years old when his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, was 7 years old. The two are 49 years apart. Belichick, born April 16, 1952, is 73 years old, while Hudson, born in 2001, is 24 years old as of September 2025.
After Mike Beauvais’s post began to gain some traction after the game, it did not take long for the rest of the internet to chime in, not only noting the actual age gap in this relationship, but also sharing their disgust thinking about their age in this light.
I mean, I’m not much older than Jordon Hudson, and the idea of being with a man that much older than me makes me want to throw up… but you know what they say, “different strokes for different folks,” so I’m really trying not to yuck her yum here, but these Tweets put the facts in a shocking light.
