Nicholas Jamerson has done it again, folks.
One of the best songwriters in country music, Jamerson has another impressive single dropping tomorrow, and we’re excited to give you an early listen before the official release.
Titled “On My Way,” the Kentucky native’s next single deals perspective through the typical clever wordplay and descriptive lyricism as he finds confidence through contentment and peace through a “stop and smell the roses” sort of mentality. Communicating this revelation and message with the level of deft songwriting that has become synonymous with his name, Jamerson has always had a knack for releasing thought provoking music with melodies that are easy on the ears, and this tune is no exception.
In a succinct and to the point explanation of the meaning behind the song, Jamerson explains that it’s:
“About arriving to the moment and letting go of the need to explain yourself and the path you are on.”

With “On My Way” marking the 7th single off of his 7th album, Jamerson’s next record The Narrow Way is slated for release on September 12. A potent collection of masterful songwriting and storytelling produced by Rachel Baiman, the album is comprised of 12 tracks and features collaborations with Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show, Shelby Means, his own sister Emily Jamerson, and several other amazing musicians.
