Are Zach Bryan’s exes taking shots at him, or are they just fans of Sir Timmy Tyler Childers? Is there beef between Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers?
These are all questions running through country fans/conspiracy theory instigators after seeing that two of Zach Bryan’s former flames have posted TikToks to Tyler Childers’ “Bitin’ List.” Since Childers released his Rick Rubin-produced album, the track “Bitin’ List” is having a moment online. Fans are posting videos of themselves lip-syncing to the song, sharing what actions would land people on their “Bitin’ List,” or mimicking Childers’ theatrical performance of the tune.
One woman getting in on the trend is Rose Madden, Zach Bryan’s ex-wife. Zach and Rose got married in 2020, but they divorced only a year later. While she hasn’t said anything explicitly about her Zach Bryan, Brianna Chickenfry, his most recent long term ex-girlfriend (that we know of), has talked about how close they’ve become and how much they relate to each other, so I think it’s safe to say Rose feels pretty much the same way about Zach as Brianna does.
With that information, it seemed apparent that Rose’s video of “Bitin’ List” on TikTok was aimed at Zach. While that was enough to get the Zach Bryan haters going online, the plot thickened when Tyler Childers’ official account reposted the video.

Now, Zach has spoken quite a bit about his admiration for fellow singer and songwriter Tyler Childers and the inspiration that Childers has served as for Zach’s career. However, Zach has a history of releasing new music on the same day as his “friends,” recently releasing three new songs on the same day Tyler dropped his much-anticipated new single, “Oneida,” just about a month ago. Could Childers have some beef with Zach Bryan? Some fans sure think so…

Tyler’s TikTok account added “account run by management” to the bio, so that whole story is much ado about nothing, but nevertheless, the plot has once again thickened after another one of Zach Bryan’s ex-girlfriends shared a video to the same tune.
This morning, Deb Peifer, who Bryan dated before getting into a relationship with Brianna Chickenfry, shared a video of herself lip-syncing to “Bitin’ List.” After the post went up, it took no time for fans to think that she was also insinuating that Zach Bryan is on her “Bitin’ List.”

Deb often posts about country music songs, especially Tyler, and notes in her captions how much she loves Snipe Hunter, so it does feel like a stretch for fans to think that every post about a hateful song means she’s pointing fingers at Zach Bryan.
Given that Childers has reposted many videos to his account with fans using “Bitin’ List,” I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Deb’s video reposted to his page, similarly to how he reposted Rose’s. While it would be clever for these two women to point at their ex-boyfriend with this sound, given that they both frequently post about country music, I think they are simply enjoying the music and leaning into the social media trend.
Regardless of motive… the song goes hard.
