It’s giving Dave Portnoy yelling “B****” while making the Zach Bryan diss track but better.
And for those who have not seen that video… before we get any further:

Tyler Childers recently released his highly anticipated record Snipe Hunter. An early fan favorite from the tracklist is the tune “Bitin List,” which contains some of my new favorite country lyrics. The song details not liking someone in a hilarious way:
“To put it plain, I just don’t like you
Not a thing about the way you is
And if there ever come a time I got rabies
You’re high on my bitin’ list…”

Now I’m not sure that Childers is encouraging folks to go around and start biting folks like a rabid dog… but hey, it makes for an entertaining song. During a portion of the studio rendition of the tune, Childers is heard barking on the backtrack like a wild canine pursuing its prey. And, during his pop-up in Nashville, Tennessee, yesterday, we saw that the barking is also part of the live performance of this song.
It’s Tyler Childers’ weird in the best way.
Given the theatrical way Childers performed the tune during the pop-up, it lends one to wonder what he looked like in the studio laying down the tracking for this barking backtrack of the song. Well, we have that footage.
Viral behind-the-scenes footage shows Childers in the studio barking into the microphone like a ferocious dog, and it’s plain hilarious. Of course, he has to get into the character to sell the lyrics of “Bitin’ List,” but seeing how it all went down in the studio is top-tier content.
I’m sitting with my boyfriend’s dogs as I write this, and they had some cocked heads as this video played aloud, so if you are near any four-legged friends, be warned.
@ridealongwtiff Replying to @joshbartho it’s the smile and bow at the end for me 😂 @Tyler Childers #tylerchilders #tylerchildersmusic ♬ original sound – Gomez
The comments left on the video might be better than the video itself:
“Just hootin’ and hollerin’.”
“I love whatever’s wrong with this man.”
“Omg, he had to be laughing so hard between takes.”
“This better be how my man acts when he looks at the pictures I send him.”
“Bro just in there causing a ruckus.”
“Close enough. Welcome back, DMX.”
“This is who Sonora May is married to, btw.”
“Can I get this in a ringtone?”
“So those weren’t stock sounds at the end….”
“So this actually upset my dog.”
“Me as soon as the liquor touches my lips.”
God bless Tyler Childers.
Fire up “Bitin’ List” before you go.
