New Angle Reveals Coldplay’s Chris Martin Was Dumbfounded After Accidentally Outing Cheating Tech CEO: “I’m Not Sure What To Do”

This has to be one of the most awkward moments in the history of concerts.

We’ve all heard the mantra of “the show must go on,” right? But how can the show really go on after someone gets exposed for cheating (allegedly) on a jumbotron? Coldplay frontman Chris Martin had to figure out how to navigate that issue in real time a couple of days ago when a concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough turned into one of 2025’s most viral moments.

I’m sure that by now you’ve heard the news that Astronomer CEO Andy Byron was caught red-handed (allegedly) cheating on his spouse at a Coldplay concert. The story – albeit a very personal one at the root of things – has captured the intention of the social media world. Everyone wants to know more about the tech CEO and his alleged affair with his company’s human resources chief Kristin Cabot.

If you haven’t seen the video already, the viral clips shows the jumbotron camera operator honing in on Byron and his work subordinate cuddled up at the concert. They quickly separated and tried to hide their faces, but the damage was already done. As you know, social media is forever, and one person just so happened to be recording the jumbotron when it all went down.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin narrated what was unfolding in real time, and seemingly figured out what was happening in a matter of seconds:

“Oh look at these two. Oh come on, you’re okay. What? Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.”

Absolutely brutal scene. The jumbotron giveth, and the jumbotron taketh away.

That’s the video that’s gotten the most attention as the wild story has captivated the social media world. But as it turns out, there’s more to Coldplay frontman’s narration than we originally thought. He might have been joking initially with the affair comment, but Martin quickly realized that his educated guess was more than likely the truth.

And a new angle of the viral moment revealed what happened immediately after the camera switched away from the tech CEO and his HR officer. This footage shows Chris Martin with a guitar in hand looking at the large screen in the football stadium, and after provided the “having an affair” commentary, the 48-year-old singer wasn’t confident about how to handle the rest of the jumbotron segment:

“I’m not quite sure what to do… Oh s**t, I hope we didn’t do something bad. Alright, okay.”

I’d argue you did something good Mr. Chris Martin.

Coldplay and the rest of the crowd at the Foxborough, Massachusetts helped bring the truth to light. It’s obviously complicated a number of people’s lives (I’m assuming), but if something nefarious was going on, the Astronomer CEO Andy Byron’s wife and kids deserve to know… and if you ask me, he deserves to face the music.
