Can always go back home to mama’s house.

We’re just days away from Mother’s Day, so if you haven’t already gotten your gift for mom you better get on that soon.

But if you ask her what she needs, you know what any mom is going to say they want the most for Mother’s Day: To spend time with their family. And that’s the theme behind the heartwarming “Come On Home” by the Oak Ridge Boys, released last year on their latest album Mama’s Boys.

Speaking about the album, Duane Allen said the theme was one of lessons that they learned from their own mothers:

“The whole concept of this album was the title Mama’s Boys, and the theme is the things that Mama taught us about life and love and leaving and coming home, and our faith. It’s all of the things that we put great value on.”

And “Come On Home” is a song that echoes any mother’s refrain for their child when they’re in need of comfort: The door’s always open.

“Come on home if you’re hurting because you’re never aloneThe front door’s always open, and the light’s are always onYou know you’re always welcome and you’ve been gone too longWhenever you get ready son come on home”

The song has quickly become a fan favorite, like a warm hug from mama when you need it most. So it only makes sense that the legendary Oak Ridge Boys are releasing a music video to go along with the heartwarming song, just in time for Mother’s Day.

The music video is the first that the Oaks have released featuring Ben James singing tenor, and features Country Music Hall of Fame member and original member of the Statler Brothers, Jimmy Fortune, playing the father in the video.

“Come On Home” features Oak Ridge Boys baritone singer William Lee Golden on lead vocals, and the music video perfectly captures the loneliness of leaving home to pursue your dreams but the comfort that comes with the feeling of knowing that you always have a safe place to “Come On Home” to.

And we couldn’t be more excited to bring you your first look at the video from the legendary Oak Ridge Boys:
