The power of prayer on full display.
When President Trump filled out his White House staff, he made sure to curate a team of no-nonsense, confident individuals that would live and breathe the mantra of “Making America Great Again.” One could argue that one of his secret weapons is White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who is the youngest person to ever hold the position at the age of 27.
Leavitt took over the position after she acted as the Trump Campaign’s national press secretary, and proved that she could hold her own. She seamlessly stepped into the role with the White House, and has already delivered plenty of memorable moments. Forgive me for a horrible incoming pun, but her attitude when fielding questions is much like her last name: Karoline has a real “Take it or Leavitt” way of operating.
It’s clear she has a true passion for what she does, and today, we got a behind the scenes look at how she ramps up before heading out to face the press during media briefings. With how fiery she can be, you’d think she would have a Rocky-esque way of getting warmed up before stepping behind the podium.
But instead, it appears that Karoline Leavitt has a habit of praying right before she fulfills her White House Press Secretary duties:
“Lord Jesus, please give us the strength, the ability and the knowledge to articulate our words and have fun and be confident. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
Short, sweet and to the point prayer… nothing wrong with that.
If you ask me, it’s really cool to see faith out in the open like this. There’s been a recent trend in high-profile people being outspoken about their relationship with God (QB CJ Stroud, Actor Chris Pratt, country star Carrie Underwood), and I guess you can add Karoline Leavitt to that list.
And what a great prayer she deployed before doing her job. I’m a Christian and I’m often asking God for guidance and knowledge to help in whatever situation I find myself in, big or small. It’s great to know that those working to lead our government are often first looking to the Lord and asking for guidance.
