Jennifer Lopez is a fan of Yellowstone?
That probably shouldn’t come as a surprise, since Taylor Sheridan’s western drama was considered to be one of the best shows on television during its run that came to an end in 2024. The show’s journey – which spanned over 6 years (felt like longer) and lasted 53 episodes – concluded last December with an explosive, no-holds-barred finale.
Taylor Sheridan’s ending to the sprawling western drama was met with some mixed reviews online. Some thought he beautifully tied a bow on the story, while others suggested that it was the worst finale – and worst final season – since the Game of Thrones debacle that happened a couple of years ago.
But at the end of the day, Sheridan brought some incredible characters to life. Kevin Costner’s John Dutton was iconic, and other supporting roles like Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler made the most of the screen time that they had… and it’s Rip that apparently really stood out to singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.
The 55-year-old just recently ended her relationship with actor and director Ben Affleck. The pair split around a year ago today, and their divorce was finalized in early 2025. According to reports from the Daily Mail, J-Lo spent months healing her heart by spending time with friends and family, and she’s apparently now ready to look for love once again.
Sources are suggesting that she has a type:
“She had a crush on Rip Wheeler from ‘Yellowstone’ and wants a guy like that, someone who can have her back and make sure she is okay. She wants to be put first and made to feel special. Her life is a lot, she needs a man who can handle all that and still love her unconditionally like the way Rip love Beth Dutton.”
That’s beautiful… but Lopez realizes that Yellowstone is a fictional show right? Not a documentary?
Regardless, it seems like the “On The Floor” singer is looking for love from a type that she’s never been with. She’s evidently tired of movie stars and wants to get her very own “Yellowstone type” that can handle the stressors and drama of J-Lo’s life just as well as he can handle life out on the ranch.
And interestingly enough, Lopez was spotted late last year with Yellowstone’s very own Kevin Costner. The two were spotted spending time together at the western apparel store Kemo Sabe in Aspen, Colorado around Christmas time. Though nothing concrete has come from the meet-up, Costner would certainly fit the type of person that Jennifer Lopez is reportedly looking for, would he not?

I guess we can’t rule out a Costner-Lopez relationship, and holy smokes would that break the internet or what?
It’s also important to note that Cole Hauser and Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Ben Affleck have somewhat of a mutual connection. They both starred in the classic film Good Will Hunting. It’s fair to wonder if Affleck and Hauser ever crossed paths while Ben and J-Lo were together… though the actor behind Rip Wheeler is married.
As Zach Bryan once said… “if she wants a cowboy, I’ll cowboy the best.”
