Zach Bryan is putting his thoughts on paper. However, this time, it’s not in the song form that we are used to digesting from the Oklahoma native, but rather in the form of a poem.
Zach Bryan has been enjoying some time off the road before he starts his handful of stadium shows and few festival appearances, starting with Stagecoach this spring. During his time off, ZB found another love interest after his public breakup with his girlfriend of over a year, Barstool Sports personality Brianna Chickenfry.
After their split, Brianna alleged that he cheated on her throughout their time together, along with many other allegations, including that he was emotionally manipulative. While Brianna spoke about their relationship numerous times on the BFFs podcast, of which she is a co-host, ZB laid low and poured his emotions into his music.
Even though Brianna said many horrible things about the “Something In The Orange” singer, this did not stop women from flocking to the famed artist. After their breakup, there was speculation that ZB was with two women, one from Oklahoma and the other a woman named Birdie, who fans thought inspired a song he teased with the same title.

However, the possibility of ZB being with either of those women came to an end when he hard-launched his new lover, an Australian-based woman named Hannah Duncan. Duncan and ZB were spotted hand in hand in New York City, and yesterday, he launched Duncan on his Instagram story, seemingly visiting her Down Under. While fans are still learning about the beach-loving Australian socialite, it seems that ZB might keep this relationship more private.
However, ZB shared a poem on his Instagram story reflecting on his life lately, including a line about his new lady love.
The poem also seemingly details some other recent events of his life, like avoiding the New York City “bar fight” with the man in Meta glasses, moving on, and calling out those who have lied about him (hmm sounds like he’s pointing a finger at Brianna there).
“It’s getting a dining room table and learning how to love the hell on with it. Seeing all your best friends that all live very close. It’s the spring bringing blues and the grocery store two blocks down. It’s family being safe and the warm and provided for. Feeling loved. Giving the pointless anxieties away. Finding good in everything. Avoiding liars and avoiding bar fights. Knowing we stirred some sh*t up but coming out calm on the other side. LEAVE IT, LEAVE IT, LEAVE IT ALL. SLEEP WHERE YOUR HEAD LANDS, USE YOUR HANDS. Go to the park with Jack Daniels the dog in the day and the drink in the evening. Go surf with your girl. Call your sister and pray to your mother.
The darkest day of the year is over.
The darkest part of your life is behind you.
We’re gonna die one day.
Don’t go soft for money or power.
Cook a good dinner and eat well. Drink some wine with it. Feel the grapes atop her tongue. Use your middle finger often. Take your shoes off and run in the grass.
YELL TO THE SKY ABOUT THE SONGS THAT ARE TO COME.”

There’s a lot to take away from here. Not only is ZB giving a glimpse into his feelings, but he’s also sharing a little more about his lady and teasing what’s in the words for him creatively.
We know ZB has a few projects on the horizon, including a film project he teased with Matthew McConaughey’s help and an EP titled With Heaven On Top, which he said is coming “sooner than not.”
Maybe this newly teased song is one ZB is referring to in the poem.
Check it out.
