Getting exactly what they voted for.
There’s been this weird insult from Democrats on social media lately whenever President Donald Trump does something, where his opponents will tell supporters that they “hope they get exactly what they voted for.” Yeah, I mean as a Trump supporter myself, so do I? I hope he does everything he promised he would, because that’s why I voted for him.
Well country star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany also voted for Trump hoping that he would do exactly what he said he would do – and so far, it sounds like they’re pretty happy with what they’ve seen from his second term.
During a Q&A on Instagram live earlier this week, the Aldeans were asked for their assessment of the first month or so of Trump’s administration, probably from somebody who was hoping that they regret their vote. But like most Trump voters, they like what they’re getting so far.
According to Jason:
“I’m actually excited, honestly. Obviously you guys know this, we’ve been a fan of his for a long time and he’s doing, I think, what a lot of us hoped he would, what he said he was gonna do, and he’s doing that.
I think at the end of the day, it seems he’s going to save taxpayers a lot of money, he’s saving a ton of our tax dollars that are going to waste.”
Brittany agreed that she’s pleased with what Trump’s doing with securing the border, and says that she is indeed getting what she had hoped for:
“This is what I voted for.”
And while the media seems intent on creating a narrative that Trump and the rest of the Republicans are upset with Elon Musk and the cuts he’s making with DOGE, Jason said he thinks Elon’s doing just fine too:
“I watched his whole speech… I thought it was amazing.
He, to me, is coming in and doing everything he said he was going to do, which is going in and start trying to get us back on the right track, and I truly feel like that’s what’s happening.
I think Elon’s doing a great job, and I dunno, we’re excited.”
Brittany adds that she’s not exactly losing sleep over her vote for Trump:
“I sleep way better at night.”

Of course it’s not really a surprise that the Aldeans are happy with the Trump administration. They’ve been some of the president’s most outspoken supporters from the very beginning, campaigning for Trump during the 2024 presidential election and even sitting with the then-GOP nominee during the Republican National Convention.
Jason also performed during the RNC, and the couple got a shoutout from Trump during his acceptance speech:
“And Jason, the biggest star in country music. Jason, thank you for being here. Jason thank you very much. Jason Aldean, he’s good.
I like his wife even better by the way. She’s here.”
Classic Trump.
Aldean also performed his controversial hit “Try That In A Small Town” at Trump’s inaugural ball, and has said that he feels “vindicated” after all the shit he’s taken for supporting the president over the past few years:
“I do feel a little vindicated. My wife and I talk about this all the time, it’s like for the last four years especially, you take a lot of heat for stepping out and telling people how we feel about the state of the country and that regime that had been in office.
So it’s been a little odd at times, but it’s cool to look here this week and see all the celebrities and people that are showing up that didn’t really speak out, but it’s a good thing. It just means that hopefully it’s getting everything back on track and we’re all getting on the same page.”
Yeah, I think Aldean hopes he gets what he voted for too – and so far, so good.
