Idiot Bros In Their Underwear Harass Massive Black Bear, & The Whole Internet Was Rooting For It To Charge

Guys harassing a bear

It’s videos like these that really make you start rooting for the natural selection process known as Darwinism.

All the way back in 1859, Charles Darwin laid out some brilliant scientific theories in his book On the Origin of Species. You might not agree with everything that he said in his findings, and obviously some thing have changed and some new advancements have taken place since the 1850s.

But the one thing that he really nailed – at least in a theoretical sense – is Darwinism.

Also known as the theory of evolution by natural selection, Darwin argued that the fittest organisms survive and reproduce. In other words, people that are smarter than others should reproduce with other smart people, and the intelligence level of the population should increase over time.

I can only wonder what Charles Darwin would think seeing this video below.

All I know is that pestering and harassing a massive black bear while wearing only your underwear would probably not be described as the “fittest.” I’d actually categorize it as something much different… the “dumbest.” For some strange reason, these guys who are only wearing their drawers decided it would be a good idea to harass this hefty black bear. Unfortunately, I’m not all that surprised by this clip, because people being idiotic around wild animals is an epidemic of sorts.

It seems as though every time I log in to any of my social media accounts, a video is popping up of someone getting dangerously close to a dangerous animal. The National Park Service advises tourists to stay 25 yards away from animals that are deemed “non-violent,” like bison, elk, and other creatures that tend to be relatively docile. When it comes to bears, wolves, and other apex predators, the NPS warns park goers to keep a football-field-distance between them and the animals.

I feel as though I sound like a broken record saying that, because anytime one of these videos go viral, I include a variation of that paragraph above. I’m doing so in hopes that my words will reach one of the people that may not be informed on how to act around wild animals… but then again, I low-key do enjoy covering stupid people doing stupid things.

Though there’s definitely a line that I have to draw, and these idiots were just straight up harassing the black bear. And they are incredibly lucky that the bear wasn’t in the mauling mood that day. They idiotically continued to follow the big ol’ bear around, giving it opportunity after opportunity to teach them a lesson.

You can see the two embarrassing videos in the first two slides of this post:

Simply can’t believe that the black bear didn’t have an “I’ve had and seen enough” moment.

Though the bear refrained from attacking the underwear-wearing numbskulls, social media didn’t hold back in saying that they were rooting for the wild animal in this encounter:

“I have never witnessed anyone that truly deserved to be eaten by a bear before.”

“1000% Team Bear.”

“I’m always rooting for the wildlife.”

“One of these days they’re going to get their death wish.”

“I’m not saying if there was a mauling, I’d be upset… it would just be bears doing bear things.”

“They must have had their lucky underwear on.”
