Putting the dating rumors to rest.
Since the start of the year, the internet has been convinced that Riley Green and Megan Moroney are dating. Internet sleuths quickly came up with this rumor after it appeared that Megan Moroney and Riley Green were in St. Barth at the same time. After having an initial speculation, social media detectives dove deep into a stalk, identifying that Megan and Riley appeared to be on the same boat at one point, given a post from his friend Gregg Camp, and since both shared images featured the same desolate beach background.
While some thought the internet was reaching with this theory, others kept their noses on the scent, finding more evidence that led them to believe there was some romantic relationship between the two. Once they were both back home, Megan Moroney appeared to be wearing Riley Green’s cowboy hat during a night out in Nashville.

Then, to keep adding fuel to the rumor fire, when the two conveniently went back to the tropics around the same time, the internet found evidence that Riley Green had blacked out the reflection of his sunglasses. Megan Moroney fans saw what appeared to be Riley’s watch in a fishing photo.

Pretty damning evidence right?
Well, these two must be pulling our legs, or Riley Green has a solid poker face because on a recent podcast appearance, he said he is single as a Pringle.
Riley was the first guest on a new podcast called In The Blind, hosted by Cloyd Rivers and Love & Theft’s Eric Gunderson. During a segment they call “Hard Ducking Questions,” they ask Riley Green a series of questions that he might not want to answer, and he comes out of the gate swinging, asking about these dating rumors.
To many folks’ surprise, Riley Green responded that he’s single.
“Single. That was an easy one.”
There was no hesitation. That initial response was followed by another question about “how single” he is.
“Pretty damn.”
What are we thinking, folks? Poker face or telling us the truth?
Riley Green has been the center of a few dating rumors since teaming up with Ella Langley for their CMA-winning duet “You Look Like You Love Me.” When Green confirmed that he and Ella were just good friends after rumors of them being together were sparked, fans were heartbroken. If Green is honest in this interview about his relationship status, we can expect the same reaction from country fans.
I know many women were really coming around to the idea of him and Megan being an item, but at the same time, there will be many of them rejoicing that he’s not taken and they can fantasize about one day ending up with Riley Green.
Even if they aren’t together, Riley and Megan have no bad blood. He praised her vocal ability when talking about her feature on Brooks & Dunn’s Reboot II record.
