Gearing up for a new album?
Lately, Zach Bryan has been teasing a ton of new music, and he announce yesterday that another new song will be out next week, a reimagined, duet version of Jack Van Cleaf’s “Rattlesnake.”
He also told fans he’d put out a song called “Blue Jean Baby” if the Philadelphia Eagles win the NFC Championship game this weekend, so it seems like he’s probably got something in the works because in addition to those two confirmed songs, he’s been sharing quite a bit of unreleased material on Instagram as well.
And if you were up very early this morning (or very late last night, however you might look at it), you probably heard part of another unreleased tune that Zach shared, along with the caption:
“Dancing with her heels on ninth and pine.”
Featuring him and his trusty acoustic guitar, the lyrical content seems to be right in his wheelhouse in terms of recalling a special memory with a former flame that slipped through his fingers. Check it out:
Fans in the comments are catching on to the fact that these songs are all likely to be included on Zach’s next album, and many of them think it will be announced, or released, soon. Zach tends to do things a bit differently in terms of following a “release schedule” of sorts with a full promotion and marketing plan like pretty much every other artist of his caliber does, so you never really know when we’ll get new information about it.
A lot of them seem to think he might he might announce or release something bigger if the Eagle’s make it, or end up winning, the Super Bowl, and I could honestly see that happening… but like I said, you never really know with him.
You don’t even know what Zach will do with future tours. He repeatedly says whichever one he’s on will be the last, and while I doubt that will ever be true, you may want to get to as many shows as you can in the unlikely event he hangs it up early. Head over to Vivid Seats, the only platform that gives you a free ticket just for going to concerts. Pretty good deal, right?
All I can say is, if you want more new music from Zach sooner rather than later, keep cheering for the Eagle’s, I guess? Here’s what the fans had to say about the song and possible record:
“God I can’t wait for this album.”
“Yeah this new album is literally going to be the greatest album of all time.”
“ZB never loses.”
“Glad I’m still awake at 5am”
“You’re the greatest.”
“If Eagles win Super Bowl we want the full album.”
“Beautiful!!”
“So good!”
“Can’t wait for the drop!”
“Amazing.”
“Acoustic album maybe?!”
“Nature is healing.”
“Yeah this is some good sh*t.”
“W time to still be up.”
“Drop it.”
“Rooting for the Birds on Sunday.”
“Hurry up and release a new album”
“Hey, it’s time to give us new year new album”
“This album needs to come out asap.”
“I already know this is gonna be a top 5 song on the album. This album is gonna BANG.”
“If the eagles win by at least 7 points can we have blue jean baby and 7 hallelujahs?!”
“This next albums gonna freaking rip dude.”
“Zach is entering into his final form and I couldn’t be more excited”
Stay tuned… especially if the Eagle’s win this weekend.
Of course, late last year Zach dropped “High Road” and “This World’s A Giant” amid his very public breakout with Barstool sports personality Brianna LaPaglia. He also confirmed in his conversation with Bruce Springsteen that he had a number of songs already written for his next album.
However, more recently, Zach teamed up with Matthew McConaughey once again to announce a video project titled “Motorbreath,” that would capture a 2-week motorcycle ride with him and his best friends as they recorded “one final major label album.”
“This is not a film about a band, this is a film about a boy from Oklahoma. A boy who joined the Navy, with a love of writing. That writing connected with people, a lot of people. This film is about a group of best friends taking a two-week motorcycle ride across America, while recording one final major label album. Oh, and the title of the film you ask? ‘Motorbreath.’”
It’s unclear if this has already been recorded or not, but either way… there’s a LOT to be excited about for Zach Bryan fans.
