Zach Bryan is back in the studio… well, maybe a makeshift studio.
It’s very common for Zach Bryan to tease new music he’s working on, and we will often not see those singles gifted to fans until much later. However, whenever Zach Bryan teases a song where he’s not just strumming his guitar in front of his phone (i.e., sitting in front of a microphone), those singles have a much higher percentage of being given to fans sooner.
We saw this to be true with “This World’s A Giant,” which ZB shared shortly before releasing. He sat in a barn with some horn players in front of a microphone. A few days later, ZB released the song to streaming platforms.
One can only hope that the same applies to the most recent song ZB teased, “With Heaven On Top.”
Last night, the Oklahoma native shared that he is still working on new music in Tulsa. After sharing stories of his cat and dog sitting near a piano played by one of his friends, he shared a clip on social media of what presumably is the song they were working on earlier in the evening.
Although Zach has teased this one before, back in November, it was just a rough demo featuring a simple guitar riff and some female backing vocals. The vocals of this song highlight how much ZB’s friends mean to him. He sings about the struggles of growing up and the hardships you will face in your life, but if you have the right friends in your corner, you always come out on top.
ZB shares a snippet of the lyrics in the caption but ends it with:
“I really f***n love all my friends.”
ZB intertwines his own experiences into the lyrics as he sings about getting arrested (which he hilariously cracks a grin as he delivers that lyric), a breakup, and his recent trip to California.

And every hard time, song rhyme, and friend you’ve got

I hope we get this song sooner rather than later. From this snippet, it sounds like he’s close to completing the song rather than being in the early stages of songwriting.

Given that Zach Bryan is significantly reducing his touring this year, announcing only a select few dates and no major runs so far, fans hope this means we get a lot of new music. While ZB shared two singles right after his public breakup with Brianna Chickenfry, fans are still begging for more.
The number of singles he has shared on social media raises speculation if he could be working on a new record, and he confirmed in his conversation with Bruce Springsteen that he had more than a dozen ready to go. But on the other hand, ZB is constantly writing and sharing snippets of those songs, some of which will never see the light of day.
Only time will tell…
