Looks like Buddy had a tough Christmas.
Last night, comedian and actor Will Ferrell was spotted at the Los Angeles Kings game dressed as his character Buddy the Elf from the classic Christmas movie Elf... but he wasn’t his normal cheery self. Ferrell was in his front row seat seen in full costume, with an (unlit) cigarette in his mouth, also drinking a beer.
I don’t know much about the NHL, but it seems like he wasn’t too confident that they’d get a win against the Philadelphia Flyers, though they ultimately did win the game 5-4.
A video of Ferrell from the game has gone viral online, and you can hear FanDuel Sports Network broadcaster Carrlyn Bathe reporting live at the game in the background, saying she spoke to Buddy, who told her that “it was a tough holiday season” and “he’s looking for a Kings win.”

I guess we know what Buddy might’ve asked Santa for, because he got what he wanted and was later seen celebrating and holding up his beer after his team won… and of course, fans loved seeing this bit of sorts, and the comments are flooding in on X (Twitter):
