Nothing like a night out with your boys in the swamp until things go south.
One evening, a group of Florida outdoor enthusiasts hit the bayou to find some gators and boy, did they find them.
This moment shared initially by Salty Adventures, LLC, shows the owner of the account, Isaiah Trujillo, and his buddies spending time hunting down some big ass gators. His account highlights many deep-sea fishing and gator adventures, and Trujillo advocates for aquatic animals and highlights many videos showing that gators can be docile animals despite their reputation as monsters.
Although in one moment shared, it reminds viewers that although gators can have their gentle moments, they still are wild animals that can cause some severe damage to anything they view as prey.
As a gator they are working with is backing up, the men in the excursion group attempt to prevent it from retreating into the water. One man reaches for the gator’s mouth, hoping to catch it shut to pull it back toward the sand.
However, the man mistimed when reaching for the gator, leading to the gator chomping down on his hand. Thankfully, the group he was with sprung into action to help release his hand from the traps of the gator’s mouth. While one might be worried about the state of their hand once it’s removed from the grips of the gator, this man was more worried about his (presumably) wife finding out about this mishap.
“Do not wake Katie up, whatever you guys do.”
All of his buddies remained calm, while still cracking jokes, and worked diligently to get the gator to relax its grip. After a few moments and with the help of a few hands pulling at the gator’s jaw, the man was able to free his hand. Miraculously, it was hardly touched.
“No bite wounds. He didn’t bite that hard.”
The gator never truly bit down on the man and held him in its jaw more as if it was warning the man not to mess with him or he’d really show him what it was capable of. It was a scary moment, to say the least, but thanks to his friends, the man was left without a mark, and Katie, whoever oyu are, was able to sleep soundly without being notified of an emergency room visit.
Also, whoever yelled “stick a finger in his butt,” that was… hilarious.
