Taylor Sheridan just might have another hit on his hands.
When it comes to dramas that harken back to the times of the wild west, there’s no one that does it better than Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. And as he wraps up what you could call his flagship series, he’s just getting another one off the ground with the Billy Bob Thornton led Landman.
Think Yellowstone, but with oil.
The ten-part series that tackles the ins-and-outs of the various components making up the oil industry boasts an impressive cast, with the likes of Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm and Demi Moore all playing major roles. However, one role that’s really making the most of its screen time is Ali Larter’s Angela – the ex-wife of Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris. Her character in the show has remarried, but is actively trying to win Thornton’s character back.

Evidently, when Ali Larter has popped up on screen in Landman, it has caused certain viewers to do a little extra research. You know… to really get to know the actress behind the character. Some fans of the show have since discovered that Larter is the same actress that had the iconic whipped cream bikini scene in the 1999 film Varsity Blues.

So it seems there’s a little nostalgia, as well as shock, in play for some viewers that watched Varsity Blues back in the day and are now tuning into Sheridan’s latest hit show.
Why do I say that? Well… as fans of Landman have finally put two and two together that Ali Larter is the whipped cream bikini girl from the classic ’90s film, they are now raving – and swooning over – Ali Larter’s character in the Paramount series.
