Braxton Keith is the real deal.
If you’re a fan of Zach Top’s music, then you need to check out Braxton Keith. Keith is laying down solid country gold and bringing back that authentic sound from the ’90s that country fans flock to.
The young songwriter calls San Antonio home, but you’ll hardly find him there as he constantly promotes his twang in a proper road dog way. Keith has a silky smooth voice paired with heartbreak lyrics, beer-drinking anthems, and songs about falling in love.
“These are songs about love, heartbreak, and drinking, which are things everybody knows about. I’m not the only person to write songs about these things. But I’m the only person to do it my way.”
If you are not familiar with Keith, you might have heard his music while scrolling on TikTok, as his single “Cozy” went viral on the platform.

The up-and-comer has already significantly grown his Texas following over the last year, and while he is making a name for himself, he also takes his time during his live shows to tip his head to the greats that inspired his sound. While he’s noted he draws heavy inspiration from Marty Robbins and Merle Haggard, he often covers Keith Whitley, George Strait, and more.
Recently, Braxton Keith laid down a stone-cold cover of Tracy Lawrence’s “Time Marches On,” and it’s consumed my thoughts entirely.
Of course, many country music fans know and love the hit 1996 song, which makes it a great one to cover during shows. Keith put a spin on the song I’ve never heard before, expanding the lyrics’ vocal range and making it sound entirely new—his process of making this song his own highlights his artistry. This cover of “Time Marches On” is hands down the best I’ve heard.
Keith is a talent you need to dial on if you are unfamiliar with him. Just like Zach Top got big bringing back the sound of the ’90s, Keith is well on his way to being the next big reincarnated ’90s star.
