Simply stunning.

If you’re on TikTok at all, especially the “country side” of TikTok, you’ve probably seen a video or two from a young artist named Belle Frantz, who posts videos singing so many amazing classic country songs, with a voice that’s kind of a mix between Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline, with some Dolly in there too.

She has a classic, incredibly amazing voice, and I can’t get enough of her videos, honestly. She also has the big hair and style to match, which I especially appreciate.

Obviously, TikTok is huge music discovery tool for fans of all different genres, and I don’t love the “viral” aspect of it and how it incentivizes artists to just make music that will pop on the app, I can say that it has been good for a lot of up and coming artists, like Belle, who might’ve never had a chance in the music business otherwise.

Anywho, today, Belle released an EP called Why I Sing This Way, which includes covers of  three all-time classic country songs, including George Jones’ “The Grand Tour,” Conway Twitty’s “Hello Darlin’,” as well as a gorgeous rendition of Reba’s “The Last One To Know.”

Typically, even just doing a rendition of one of those songs for any country artist, whether up-and-coming or well-established, would be a very tall task.

But Belle just has such a natural knack for it, and she really sounds like she’s from another time and generation (a compliment of the highest order), and to say this EP is impressive would be an understatement. She’s clearly young and just getting started, so I hope we get to hear some original music from her soon too.

She feels like such a rare, authentic talent, and I can’t wait to see where her career goes from here. Hopefully, one day, soon, we might be talking about her as one of the “next big artists” à la Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney.

Do yourself a favor and give the whole EP a listen and you’ll quickly realize exactly what I’m talking about… it’s absolutely amazing:
