Just a little over a week before Luke Combs welcomes fans to his new Nashville bar for the first time.
The country music superstar is opening his new bar, Category 10, just off of Broadway in Music City. The bar is a partnership with Opry Entertainment Group, and will transform the old Wildhorse Saloon into a 67,000 square foot entertainment complex featuring three interior floors and a 9,000 square foot rooftop overlooking the Cumberland River.
Earlier this month, Luke announced that Category 10 would officially open to the public on November 2. But ahead of the bar’s opening, we got a sneak peek at the new venue and wanted to share one special part of the new bar – one that’s dedicated to his die-hard fans, the Bootleggers.
One of the first things you’ll see when you walk into the bar, behind the stage just to the right of the entrance, is a hat wall featuring various ballcaps. But what you may not realize is that the hats hanging on the wall were donated by fans to be displayed in the bar.
Ahead of the opening, Luke asked his fan club to send in hats with a personal note explaining why the hat was meaningful. And the response was overwhelming, with hundreds of fans sending in their lids to be displayed at the bar.
The wall is made up of 290 hats, with 82 coming from Luke’s personal collection (which apparently includes hundreds of hats – big hat guy, that Luke Combs), as well as 208 hats that were sent in by fans. And each one has its own personal story, with hats from 39 states and five different countries hanging behind the stage.
The hats from fans range from their favorite sports teams to Waylon Jennings and Brooks & Dunn hats, and even some representing members of our military – like this Afghanistan war veteran hat from Bootlegger Megan Nelson:

Then you have this one sent in all the way from Australia:

And this one from closer to home celebrating a great American institution: Buc-ee’s.

Of course with nearly 300 hats it’s impossible to include them all here. But if you sent one in, you can take a look and see if you can spot your hat on the wall:

Let us know if you see yours up there, and feel free to tell us the story behind it if you have a hat hanging on the wall.
Won’t be long until Bootleggers get to check it out for themselves.
