Could a “Big Orange” and “Something in the Orange” collaboration be on the horizon? Or… is everyone just reading into a cool picture just a little too much?
The iconic Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee is usually the backdrop for some of college football’s biggest matchups. Only occasionally does the football stadium trade out the helmets and pads for microphones and instruments. When it does though, it’s usually makes for quite the memorable concert.
Interestingly enough, Rocky Top’s premiere stadium has only ever had four artists host shows within its stands. The very first was Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 in 1984, and nearly two decades went by before East Tennessee native Kenny Chesney “fulfilled a lifelong dream” and played a concert at Neyland Stadium in 2003.
Another 16 years went by before Garth Brooks graced the stage in Knoxville in front of 84,000 country music fans. Then back in September of this year, another hometown hero, Morgan Wallen played two shows at the 103-year-old stadium, which brought in a record total of 156,161 fans across both nights.
Long story short, the University of Tennessee’s stadium hasn’t had a problem filling up seats for country music artists. So it makes sense that they would try to get another huge country music act to come host a concert at the century old stadium.
Earlier today, the official Tennessee Volunteers Athletics social media account posted this picture of a sunset over Neyland Stadium. As you’ll be able to see, Zach Bryan’s hit song “Something In The Orange” is typed out and overlaid across the horizon. And the post is captioned with:
“We’re not done.”
So putting two and two together, that has to mean that Zach Bryan will be announcing a show at Neyland Stadium sometime soon, right?
Zach Bryan certainly has the draw to fill up the seats of the Tennessee stadium, which is said to have a capacity just shy of 102,000. He might not be as connected to Knoxville as Wallen is, but he should still have no problem packing the stadium – if the concert is announced.
Nothing official has been confirmed as of yet, but come on now… a post like that has to mean that Zach Bryan will be taking his talents to Tennessee and putting on a hell of a show at Neyland Stadium. And like I said earlier, he’d only be the fifth artist to ever headline at the iconic venue.

Zach Bryan himself even liked the photo, so that could mean that the concert is definitely happening or it could mean absolutely nothing and that it’s just a cool picture that happens to fit with the lyrics of one of Zach Bryan’s most popular song.
Either way, I suppose we’ll find out soon enough…
