Imagine you’re going to support your favorite football team. Bills fans in Buffalo eat, sleep, and live football. They have a one-of-one atmosphere, charitable hearts, and stick by their squad no matter how many times their hearts get curb stomped after the latest close call in the playoffs.
A newly minted bride decided she’d shoot her shot with Josh Allen on Monday Night Football, because why not? Sure, he’s dating a megastar in Hailee Steinfeld last I checked, but you never know. So this woman made a sign that unambiguously stated her intentions in 4K, all the while Allen was eviscerating the Jacksonville Jaguars en route to four TD passes in the opening half.
None other than AFC East rival and New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner documented the scene as it unfolded — and I can’t help but agree with his take.

Maybe it was a dead moment in the game. If you ask me, judging by the scoreboard, this came directly after a touchdown. The Bills still had a PAT to kick to get to 20-3. We can know this without a doubt because the score at half was 34-3. The guy looks like he would rather be anywhere else on the planet than next to his spouse, taking the implications of that sign as best he can.
My man is quaking on the inside. Don’t worry, big guy. I don’t think Allen is gonna football pun intended fumble away Hailee Steinfeld. By quarterback standards, he’s a pauper, so he needs some of that joint income.
Josh Allen signed his contract in 2021, goes through 2028.

Is Allen low-key taking the Tom Brady route? Marrying another super famous person, then taking pay cuts till the end of his career so that the Bills can surround him with a championship-caliber roster? That’s my working theory.
To be real for a hot second, it’s incredible what Allen continues to do no matter what his supporting cast looks like. You’d think losing Stefon Diggs to Houston and Gabe Davis to Jacksonville would be a bigger deal. Doesn’t matter even a little bit. Diggs is averaging eight yards per catch for the Texans and was largely in for mop-up duty in their loss to the 3-0 Vikings. Davis caught zero passes for the Jaguars in his return to Buffalo on Monday.
Anyway, despite the galactic odds that Allen will take the bride on TV up on her offer, the reactions suggest that this stunt could derail their marriage before it really begins in earnest.
