Hoping Jaren gets whatever help he needs.
The Cadillac Three are one of the greatest southern rock bands out there right now. Their single “White Lightning” is a masterclass in writing love songs, and along with songs like “Crackin’ Cold Ones With The Boys,” “Bury Me In My Boots” and “Take Me To The Bottom,” the band has not only built up a reputation for their rocking sound but also their killer songwriting.
Much of that songwriting is done by lead singer Jaren Johnston, who’s also written hits like “Raise ‘Em Up” for Keith Urban and Eric Church and “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s” by Tim McGraw.
But unfortunately for fans, the band is going to have to take a step back.
In a post to social media, The Cadillac Three announced today that they would be taking a break and canceling all remaining shows for 2024 while Jaren seeks treatment for his mental health:
“Friends –
We want to be honest with you.
Jaren has entered treatment for his mental health and well-being. The last few years have been challenging on a number of levels. The right thing to right now is to make space to focus on family, health, and longevity.
With this news, our remaining 2024 shows will be canceled. Please contact your point of purchase for all headlining shows.
We love our fans and the community we’ve built together. Canceling concerts is not something we take lightly. We have no doubt we will ride down the road again. Until then, we appreciate your respect and support for Jaren & his family.”
The latest news comes on the heels of the band canceling this past week’s shows due to an unspecified illness.
Obviously it’s good that Jaren recognized he needed help and is getting the treatment he needs. The fans will be there when he’s ready to come back, but until then, we’re just hoping he get to feeling better soon.
