New Music Friday is turning into New Music (Teaser) Friday with a recent post from Jon Pardi. The California cowboy is teasing new music since the release of his 2023 Christmas album, Merry Christmas From Jon Pardi. Although some might argue that the album doesn’t count as his last form of new music, there are some originals on there, so I’m running with it.
But for those who disagree… he is teasing new music since his 2022 album, Mr. Saturday Night.
But given Pardi’s busy schedule as a super dad to two little girls, fans can give him a break for taking time away from the recording booth to focus on family.
Yesterday, he took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes clips of tour rehearsals, which then shifted into clips of him in the recording studio. He and his band look like they have been cooking up some good stuff as a honky tonk melody plays in the background, with a few lines being sung before the video ends with an ominous “coming soon.”
We also get a look into the studio with producer Jay Joyce (Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Ashley McBryde), who Pardi will be working with for the first time on this next project.
Today, Pardi posted another series of images of his wife, Summer, on social media, with the song playing in the background of the teaser video overlayed. The forthcoming single from Pardi, “Friday Night Heartbreaker,” has officially been tagged on social media platforms to build the hype surrounding the single.
The saucy images shared of his wife, combined with the teaser of lyrics, lead one to believe this song is about a mysterious woman who has captured a man’s heart. Although this man sees the lure of wanting to be with this woman, the lyrics almost pose as a warning to get out of there before she breaks his heart.

I can’t wait to get the release date for this one because it seems like it will be a heater. Jon Pardi is back in the studio swing, and I can’t wait to see what he has been cooking up.
