Penguin’s Life Flashes Before Its Eyes As It Unknowingly Jumps Onto Floating Iceberg With Sleeping Seal

This is possibly the best visual representation of, “Oh hell no” that the world has ever seen.

The animal kingdom has a way of creating high-quality content. No directors or writers needed – watching nature take its course is basically the first ever reality TV show. And it’s moments like these that are caught on camera that truly support the idea that watching the wild is the best form of entertainment that could ever exist.

In this video, which is now going viral, we’ve got somewhat of a battle between a seal and a penguin. For those that don’t know, that’s about as “predator versus prey” as it gets. Seals often go after penguins in high-stakes water chases, but in this case, the seal basically got nature’s version of a Door Dash – if it hadn’t been asleep.

The penguin comes flying out of the water (they can swim at 15 to 20 miles per hour underwater) and lands right on an iceberg that’s occupied by a seal. Hilariously, the black and white creature seemingly realizes that it needs to “abort the mission,” and once it hits the ice, it turns back around to dive back into the water.

Luckily for you, I’m an amateur expert (oxymoron?) in penguin body language, and can tell you exactly what the penguin was thinking when it burst out of the water:

“Oh sh*t! Oh sh*t! Oh sh*t!”

That seal probably though it was all just a dream when it eventually came out of its slumber.

It’s a hilarious video, and showcases the quick reflexes of penguins. The reaction from the penguin is actually getting quite the reaction on socials right now, as social media users get a kick out of the penguin’s quick re-direction:
