Not your average music festival.
Back in January, it was announced that Eric Church and Morgan Wallen had teamed up to buy the iconic Field & Stream brand, not only bringing back the classic magazine but also announcing a brand new Field & Stream Music Fest.
The inaugural festival is scheduled for October 4-6 in Winnsboro, South Carolina, at Carolina Adventure World, which is a 3,000 acre adventure park located just off I-77 and a short drive from both Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC.
They’ve put together a killer lineup of some of the best in country music across multiple stages. The festival features headliners Eric Church, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Lainey Wilson, along with ZZ Top, Riley Green, Shane Smith & the Saints, Larry Fleet, Boy Named Banjo and a ton more.

But as you can imagine, because it’s Field & Stream, there’s plenty to do besides the music too.
The festival is also giving attendees the chance to explore the great outdoors with some incredible excursions before the music kicks off, making this a truly one-of-a-kind experience country music fans who also love being out in nature.
Let’s take a look at some of the opportunities.
If you’re into hitting the lake and casting a line, one of the excursions gives you the opportunity to do just that before the concerts begin with their Trophy Bass Fishing Experience. Groups will hit the lake in their kayaks, reel in some bass, and can even compete for prizes in the biggest catch competition.
Or if you’re more into shooting, there are two opportunities to get in some target practice with either their Pistol Shoot or their Sporting Clays excursions.
For anyone craving a little more outdoor adventure in their lives, there’s the Downhill Mountain Biking excursion at Rattlesnake Bike Park, where festivalgoers have the opportunity to cruise down 12 separate forested trails, ranging from beginner to the hardcore biker, to get the juices flowing before heading back for a night of incredible country music.
And the one that I would be booking would be the Off Road Adventure, where attendees will take a guided trip on a side by side ATV, exploring nature and hitting the mud holes before heading back to get cleaned up for the festival.
I mean, what more could you ask for? And the weather in South Carolina in October should be the perfect time to get outside.
The excursions range from $55 per person to $400 for a 4-person ATV ride, but you (obviously) have to have a ticket to the festival in order to book. You can learn more about the excursions, get your tickets to the festival, and book your experiences directly on Field & Stream Music Fest’s website. And because they’re first come first serve, if you’re planning on heading to the festival, you’ll probably want to book quick because they’re selling out fast.
This incredible opportunity to explore nature and spend some time in the great outdoors is something you’re not going to get at any other music festival, and really highlights Field & Stream’s mission of showcasing the best in hunting, fishing and beyond.
More excursions are going to be added in the future, but it’s never too early to start planning out your weekend.
