Angler Jumps Off Boat With Tuna For Wildest Catch & Release You’ll Ever See

Catch and release – via wrestling move.

The catch and release method isn’t always the flashiest form of fishing, but this angler is trying to single handedly change that perception. He turned a regular release of a hefty tuna fish into a spectacle straight out of the WWE. If PETA asks, this guy was just trying to break the surface of the water to soften the landing for the fish.

Originally, it appears that the man was trying to go with a traditional release method… where you just kind of toss the tuna back into the water. But the fish underneath his arm was fighting him, and as he got closer to the edge of the boat, you could tell he had a lightbulb moment.

Impressively, the angler walked his way up onto the bow of the vessel, repositioned and secured the big ol’ tuna into his arms, and proceeded to go through with what could be called the most badass catch and release the world has ever seen.

You won’t believe your eyes as the fisherman pile-drives the tuna into the ocean:

What a legendary moment.

Who said fishing was boring? If I would’ve known you could return catches into the water like this, I’d probably have a lot more hours spent fishing under my belt. I’ll have to remember this move next time I get out on the water for a fishing trip.

I loved it, you probably loved it, and social media without a doubt loved the tuna’s emphatic return to the sea via a top-rope-style dive:
