Nothing like exposing your husband on a national platform.
This week, Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s wife Amy Earnhardt was a guest on his Dale Jr. Download podcast, and they played a version of The Newlywed Game, answering funny questions about each other and giving fans a little more insight into their relationship.
Amy revealed that she hates her husband’s driving style, which is ironic and also really funny considering he raced at the highest level of NASCAR for many years, but this story might be even funnier.
One of the podcast producers asked her what the “weirdest or most random” thing she’d ever seen Dale buy was, and Amy neither confirmed nor denied that she recently threw away a pack of nerds clusters. She told them he tries to hide things he knows he’s going to “get nagged for” and then totally ratted him out…
Amy said Dale used to eat the little Atomic Fireball candies, but when he got down to the center, he wouldn’t just finish it or throw it away… he’d hide them in the couch cushions.
Their housekeep discovered them one day, and even though Dale told Amy to “stop” telling this story, she did and it’s hilarious (yet also so odd, to be honest):
“He used to eat Fireballs. What he did with the middle part of it, was stick it in the couch cushion. We didn’t find them for a very long time.
Our housekeeper, she calls Sonny out, she’s like Sonny, ‘I don’t know what this is but there’s a bunch of tiny little white pebbles underneath the couch and they smell like cinnamon.’ And Sony starts dying laughing, he’s like, ‘That’s a damn fireball!'”
Dale laughed, though admitted:
“Bringing Amy on was a bad idea.”
I strongly disagree… here’s the ckip:
I watch these clips and laugh like I’m hearing it for the first time. 🤣🤣 https://t.co/jJNCqe5zTa

Dale and Amy Earnhardt… they’re just like every other couple I know and I could watch them go back and forth all day.
They also commented during this episode that Amy is going to come on the show more regularly, once a month at least, and I think that’s a great idea because she’s really finny and gives some great commentary and insight on their daily life.
