Joey B hopping on Zoom to make a presidential endorsement in the middle of training camp?
A few months ago, the internet went wild when Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was pictured with former president (and current GOP presidential nominee) Donald Trump during an appearance at UFC 299.

Of course half of Twitter was outraged, despite the fact that Burrow never endorsed Trump or really gave any indication who he was supporting. He just took a picture with the former president.
And Burrow recently set the internet on fire once again when he showed up to training camp looking like the real Slim Shady, sporting a buzz cut and bleach blonde hair.

But now, rumors are flying that Joe Burrow has indeed decided to make an endorsement in 2024 – for Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to a Harris campaign account on Twitter, the Bengals quarterback joined a “White Dudes For Kamala” Zoom call this evening, which also featured appearances from actor Jeff Bridges, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, among others.

Of course social media immediately began going crazy at the news that Burrow had reportedly endorsed Harris for president, with Democrats suddenly finding themselves as Bengals fans and Republicans trashing the often-injured quarterback.
Joe Burrow took this photo then took Trumps hair color and isn’t even going to vote for him. Shame. #WhiteDudesForKamala https://t.co/2vyiI6eFaV pic.twitter.com/pj8VR1A3Ur

Of course, there’s only one problem: So far, there’s no evidence other than the tweet from the Harris campaign that Burrow was actually on the call.
As one user pointed out, it’s odd that in this age of technology, no video proof has surfaced that Burrow was actually on the call. No screenshot, no video of him on the Zoom call, nothing?
It’s funny people are saying “Joe Burrow endorsed Harris! He joined the White Dudes for Harris zoom!”, but yet in a year where technology is so amazing, now one took a screenshot or had proof that he was “there”?
Sounds made up to me.

Now, is it possible that Burrow was actually on the call? Sure. But is it also possible that troll just changed their screen name to “Joe Burrow” (or somebody else named Joe Burrow was actually on the call and everybody just assumed it was the Bengals QB?) Absolutely.
Burrow is in the middle of training camp with his team, so it seems a little odd that he’d be spending his free time hopping on a “White Dudes for Kamala” Zoom call while never having made a political endorsement before.
But Burrow has also previously expressed his support for abortion rights, as well as supported stricter gun control laws, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he’s finally ready to jump in and make an endorsement.
As of right now though, all we have is a tweet saying it happened – and nothing from Burrow himself.
I’d say that if it wasn’t him, he’s going to be pretty surprised when he wakes up tomorrow and opens social media.
