The release of the music videos begins.

Last week, Zach Bryan released his highly anticipated album, The Great American Bar Scene, which some might call his most prolific example of songwriting yet. One single that fans praised heavily upon its release was “Purple Gas,” which was written by and features Canadian up-and-comer Noeline Hofmann.

Hofmann was featured on Bryan’s Bucking Bronco sessions prior to the single release, and Bryan fell in love with the song and its messaging.

“This song brought me to tears the first time I heard it so it was really important for me that Noeline gave me the privilege to sing it with her.

I have never covered another musician on an album and it’s because I was waiting on someone to write a song like this. Noeline resonates like Gillian Welch to me and Gillian is one of my favorite musicians to ever live.”

Bryan noted, along with the sentiment he shared for Hofmann’s brilliant songwriting, that they would compile a music video of fan submissions filled with snippets of “Great American” heartland life. Yesterday, the video dropped, showcasing the various facets of the life we all live. From dogs running in the snow to four-wheelers or jumping into the lake, the simple video submissions highlight the beauty in everyday activities in the great country,

“Making these videos submitted by you guys always makes me feel something special. We’re all simultaneously living our lives with their different struggles, different people, and different days, and that’s really cool man.”

If you liked this song without a visual, I can guarantee you will fall madly and deeply in love after watching this video.

I really dig that Zach Bryan is including his fans to aspects of The Great American Bar Scene. It makes them feel like they are a part of something special.
