A stunning visual accompanies this stellar track.

In May, 49 Winchester released their second single, “Fast Asleep,” off their forthcoming album, Leavin’ This Holler. The powerful track instantly resonated with fans at the song’s release, the band noted that this has been sitting in the archives since the early days of 49… they wanted to give it a shining moment when the time was right.

“This tune is an emotional sledgehammer and big step forward for us. It was born long ago as one of the very first 49 Winchester songs, and fell along the wayside over time but we knew it was still a great song and wanted to breathe new life into it.

The addition of strings via the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and Noah’s incredible pedal steel in the chorus, along with the vision of Stewart Myers in the studio, added a whole new depth and brought it forward into the modern day.”

The song wrestles with the highs and lows of a relationship and fears of letting someone you love down. Today, the group released a stunning visual to accompany the track, shot while on the European leg of their tour. With Amsterdam serving as the backdrop, the video opens with calming river scenes before showing the boys in a church turned music venue.

The videos showcase the group simulating a live performance on a stage with stained glass windows behind them, highlighting the emotion they feel in the lyrics as they perform. The beautiful backdrop makes listeners feel as though they are watching a live show. After the first chorus, the video cuts to black-and-white clips of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, which amplifies the sound of the beautiful string instruments.

This music video perfectly highlights the lyrics, keeping it simple yet beautiful and showcasing the heartfelt lyrics without many bells and whistles (which is my favorite formula for a music video). 49 Winchester does not miss, and I am itching to hear the whole album come August 2nd.

Fire it up.

49 Winchester is also about to kick off their Leavin’ This Holler Summer tour. If they are coming to a city near you, it’s a no-brainer to try to snag tickets… their live show is unmatched.
