Camping can be a very relaxing activity.
Notice how I said can be. That’s because when you go out in the wild to set up a campsite, you are entering into the unpredictable world of the outdoors. A tent is an easy way to get out in nature, but this video is why some people would rather opt to travel in a camper or RV.
According to the story coinciding with the clip, some hikers were in the Cascade Mountains at Mount Rainer National Park and came across the tent campground. Instead of helping a man that was potentially in danger, they decided to cackle and video the situation from afar. As a bear approached a person who was laying down in their tent, presumably asleep, the people with their cameras out laughed and said:
“His feet must be ripe.”
Yeah… and I bet his feet could have used a heads up, or an attempt to scare the bear away. That might have been appreciated.
They claimed that the bear was attempting to get into the tent to find some food, but as you’ll see in the footage below, the bear looked to be more interested in the man laying down than anything else. It even took a nibble of the napping man’s shoe, and that was eventually enough to wake the camper.
And scare the everliving sh*t out of the bear:
Sheesh… that would be the last time I went camping in a tent. I’ll tell you that much.
That bear must have broken the land speed recording fleeing the scene. One second, the bear was messing with the guy’s feet. The next? It was high-tailing it through the wilderness, scared to death. Even though if anyone had the right to be terrified, it was the man in his tent.
He also had the right to be mad that the people who filmed this video didn’t help him out more. This could have been an entirely different video, and those in the comments section made sure to point that out:
“The guys filming and laughing at this are diabolical.”
“The fact that y’all didn’t warn him is messed up. Anything for views.”
“Why didn’t they yell at the bear or do something?”
“They are not the kind of friend that I would like to have around me.”
“So instead of yelling to give the man a heads up and possibly saving him from a attack you keep recording and laugh about. What a sh*tty thing to do.”
