Billy Ray Cyrus Accuses Estranged Wife Firerose Of Overcharging Credit Cards, Spending Almost $100,000

Love is supposed to be priceless, but Billy Ray Cyrus’ most recent marriage proves otherwise.

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer is headed for an “ugly fugly” divorce from his wife of seven months, Firerose. Cyrus officially filed to be separated only a couple of days ago, and according to TMZ, he’s asking the court for an annulment on a claim that the marriage was “obtained by fraud.”

The couple’s official date of separation was listed as May 22, 2024, and Cyrus gave his soon-to-be ex-wife a deadline of May 24th to leave their home while giving her a $500-a-night stipend over ten days for temporary housing. As for why Cyrus filed for divorce, the country music singer cited “inappropriate marital conduct” and “irreconcilable differences.”

One of those conflicting differences was evidently the couple’s finances. Cyrus and Firerose aren’t very far into the divorce process, but the 62-year-old (Firerose is 35-years-old by the way) is already attempting to get a temporary restraining order from his wife so that she can no longer access his money.

Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Billy Ray claims Firerose added 37 unauthorized charges onto his business American Express card (in period of a couple of weeks) that added up to a staggering $96,986… and five cents. Don’t forget the five cents.

Cyrus is looking for a speedy motion from the judge to keep Firerose from accessing his bank accounts, as well as reimbursements for the charges that his estranged wife has made. On the flip side, Firerose is claiming she was spending money just as she was prior to the separation, and that there should be no reason for her to not have access to the bank accounts. The almost $100,000 in charges was also somewhat cleared up, with Firerose’s law firm admitting that they charged her $50,000 when they meant to charge her $5,000.

Simple mistake.

Things have gone downhill fast for the couple that seemed so deeply in love not even a year ago (they got married in October of 2023). If it is already this ugly this early on, fasten your seatbelts people. We could be in for a “fiery” divorce… no pun intended.
